Yeah, it’s garbage. If someone is in hell it is because they chose that path and refused Christ with full knowledge and intent. There aren’t all these poor pathetic souls who want to be saved and would do anything to go to heaven, if only Jesus would pay attention to them.
 
That was just weird. I prefer Dante. And why pick on John Lennon?
 
Yeah, & I know the Beatles, esp. Lennon did some messed up things, but I don’t know that it’s fair to call them Satanic.
 
Even if it did happen, we are under no obligation to accept it as it is private revelation.

It is a poorly written version of Dante, without the insight or satire.

And there are some theological issues

Catholic church. However, he would steal the money instead. With eyes full of compassion, the Lord asked the man, “Andrew, have you ever heard the gospel?” Andrew replied, “Yes Lord, there was one Christian woman that went to the church and she preached the gospel once, but I didn’t want to accept it. Maybe you are asking, “Where does it say in the Bible that it is wrong to dance?” In James 4:4, the Word of God says: “Do you not realize, you adulteresses, that friendship with the world is enmity toward God? Therefore, whoever determines to be a friend of the world becomes God’s enemy.” Also, in 1 John 2:15-17, “Neither love the world nor the things in the world. Whoever loves the world has not the Father’s love in his heart, because everything in the world, the passions of the flesh, the desires of the eyes, and the proud display of life have their origin not from the Father but from the world. And the world with its lust passes away, but he who does the will of God remains for ever.” Remember the world will pass away, all this will perish, but the one who does the will of God stands forever.

Funny, this does not say that you cannot dance. In fact, doesn;t the bible Mention a time to dance?
Further, when the Bible talks about sin, it never classifies sins, because all of them are just sins.

Wrong. Jesus calls one sin unforgivable. John discusses sins that are mortal and sins that are not mortal

There is always value in reminding others that hell is real. I see no special value in this verses anything else
 
Thanks for the second opinion. I had my doubts when I read this:
We continued walking, seeing thousands and thousands of people. There were young people, adults and elderly people suffering in torment. We arrived in a place that looked like a big swimming pool of fire, with thousands of men and women inside of it. Each of them had metal plate on their chest that read: “I am here for not giving tithes and offerings” When I read that, I asked the Lord, “Lord, how can this be possible, that people are here for this reason??” The Lord responded, “Yes, because these people thought that tithes and offerings were not important, when my Word shows it as a command.” In Malachi 3:8-9 it says “Will a man rob God? Yet you are robbing Me. But you say, ‘How have we robbed Thee?’ In tithes and offerings. You are cursed with curse, for you are robbing Me, the whole nation of you.”

Sounds sort of like the blasphemous claim by Oral Roberts that he would be killed by God if he didn’t raise a few million dollars

I caught that one, too. The tithing thing is one that is thought about both ways today. I will not fault either side.

I will say that we can give in more important ways than money. Just because we give 10%, it does not mean that we have done our fair share.

Yeah I meant Oral…he was the one who said that, right? I think my statement might have been confused… I just meant I would find it sickening for a televangelist to make a claim like that. I totally agree on tithing, at the moment I have little more to give than my time and a very modest sum. 😦
 
Very sick, and if they really did experience something like this, it was not God who guided them…

It is like a cheap B bloody horror movie, with sadistic undertones. And some of these kids had an obvious hatred for women! Did you guys read about the thorn covered snake and the body part it entered? :eek:

I cannot even post all of the filth on that article, but here is a portion:
In the same manner of her sin, this woman was forced to fornicate in hell with a very disgusting and fat snake. The snake had huge thorns around its body, about 6-8 inches long.

Protestants are so hung up on tithing, do you think Christ would really care if you gave :twocents: or 200? If you don’t have it, you don’t have it. He wants to see you at church. He wants you to pray. He wants you above everything else, to have faith.

It was pretty clear what was meant :o .​

Overall, the whole thing was impossible to read without thinking of a Jack Chick tract: this was Dante’s “Inferno”, as re-written by Jack Chick :eek: 😃 Parts of it reminded me of something called the “Apocalypse of Peter”, which itemises the torments of Hell in great deal:

It is applied here, too. No one has turned them in (or it has not taken effect yet).
 
Those stories are just weird.

The problem I have with them is that it is a sort of ‘preaching by damnation’ - basically scaring people into believing in God. Christ message, to me, was never the ‘hell-fire and brimstones’ type of message. It was one of love and forgiveness. This is what islam is all about - terrorizing non-muslims into either conversion or subjugation. Sorry, but these stories are hogwash.

Notice that the types of damned are ‘gays, drunks, and that sort’.

We are not to judge them especially since they could have some mental problems and for some reason I just do not think that God is going to send someone to hell that has a problem in their brains. It could be a very, real physical problem.
