Absolutely not! That cop should have put the cuffs on him when he refused to leave!

We don’t know the whole story, but it seems that the solicitor was asked to leave and not come back. Assuming that is correct, then the homeowner has that right and the solicitor (as far as I’ve been able to determine) doesn’t have the right to knock a person’s door specifically when told not to.

When I saw the title and the video thumbnail with the policeman I though you were going to refer to the incident where the cop was pulling people over solely to preach the Bible.

Anderson has a history of doing things that make headlines so who knows his motives for posting this.

But, it’s a complex and maybe 3 people out of the 500 are speaking for the entire complex? Seems weird.

I think it’s emotionally manipulative and that this guy should have been cuffed and taken downtown. The sermon that followed just seemed like a petulant tantrum.

He has a funny definition of “soul winning.” I’m absolutely certain that that approach loses more than it wins. He will be accountable for that too.

This is not really soul winning. The police officer stated he was Baptized, while the “evangelist” denied the importance of Baptism. He’s too focused on selling Christ rather than teaching through action.
Our Lord said, “Render onto Caesar that which is Caesar’s, and onto God that which is God’s.” He never said anything about intentionally violating laws, including privacy laws.
The landlord does have a right to protect tenants from unwanted solicitation.
If he truly wanted to be invited into a person’s home, there are other ways today than knocking on doors including mail. The landlord could not prohibit a person whom a tenant had invited.
What he is preaching is self-promoting soliciting practices rather than how to demonstrate God’s love through merciful acts of Love of love and mercy which are much more effective means of leading people to Christ.
Returning to the policeman’s mention of Baptism. Our Lord commanded the Apostles to Baptize “In the name of Father, Son, and Holy Spirit.” The police officer’s knowledge and understanding of God’s Will was ridiculed by the pride and self righteousness of a Pharisee and charlatan. .

What’s interesting to me is that he acts like the officers are agents for Satan or something. They were just doing their job and the scriptures tell us the government and structure is put there for our benefit and to listen to them. It looked like Anderson was trying to go to jail or something.

Maybe someone can gain insight from a current situation I am facing.

I have a cousin who has gotten religion. He calls me, and wants to come visit, so he can tell me how evil Catholicism is. He is a troubled person, so I listen to his troubles. I divert him away from the subject of religion. He had left one church because of gossip, but found others to be worse in other ways, so he is back to his original. I think he is dedicated to winning my soul so he can improve his stature within his church. He has problems with guilt over his previous activities. Next time he calls, I will talk the gospel of AA, because that is what is going on. He is a dry drunk, who has found another addiction.

Yes, go to jail and claim martyrdom, and evangelize among fellow prisoners. Intentionally borrow from Acts.

I watch Steven Anderson’s sermons. The bloke cracks me up. He shouts and screams, kicks his pulpet, swears. It’s like a comedy act. On a serious note, his doctrines are evil. I take particular issue with the so-called reprobate doctrine that denies the mercy of God towards homosexuals. I also think his position on alcohol is wrong. In fact, he’s wrong about everything.

To answer this blowhard’s point about " being the policeman’s boss": 3 For rulers are not a terror to good conduct, but to bad. Would you have no fear of the one who is in authority? Then do what is good, and you will receive his approval, 4 for he is God’s servant for your good. But if you do wrong, be afraid, for he does not bear the sword in vain. For he is the servant of God, an avenger who carries out God’s wrath on the wrongdoer. ( Romans 13:3-4). A policeman takes an oath to uphold the law and because we need law enforcement, yes, payment for those services are taken out of our taxes. He should have been taken and held without bond.

LOL

Yes, I’m embarrassed to admit I’ve seen several of his sermons as well.

I have to get my laughs somewhere and he is a absolute riot.

There’s even a ‘debate’ between him and Dr. White in which he is losing badly and Dr. White just looks at him like what a fascinating, special person this is lol .

I read once that confidence has no need to shout.
We read this in Scripture. God was not found in the Thunder, or in the earthquake, but in the small whisper of the wind.
Again, God says, “Be still and know that I am God.”
Has Steven Anderson at anytime called for prayer? for silence? For meditation? For listening to God’s voice?
Our Lord was explicit. “It is not the one who cries, ‘Lord, Lord who will enter the kingdom of heaven, but the one who does the will of the Father.’”
It is interesting that he put a time limit to his evangelizing. The hour of his soliciting souls was over. Wait a minute. What if somebody in need calls me while I am in the middle of evening prayer? Am I not supposed to listen to his concerns? Is not the Greatest Command to Love God with all my heart, soul and strength? Am I not called to love my neighbor as myself?

During the whole confrontation, the police officer never once raised his voice. He merely stated the case. He never gestured or made fun of the situation as he was being verbally abused. Steven Anderson is looking for justification when he returns to his followers who “lack understanding.”

Precisely. Police officers are limited as to what they can do and say on the job. He responded appropriately to the question when asked if he was saved. “I was Baptized” which Anderson rejected. The police officer doesn’t have to “seek souls.” People will come to him which is much more effective, and humbling. All glory goes to God.
Anderson appears to be seeking the glory for himself.

He was trespassing. It is unlikely that management would have called the police without a tenant complaint.
“All visitors must be accompanied by a resident at all times. Parking for residents only,” are common signs on rental properties. That includes where I live. They help protect personal privacy as well as the property from vandalism.
It doesn’t mean that things don’t happen. Because of the number of single tenants, and an incident shortly after I moved in, we learned to check on each other and question when things appear suspicious.

Steven Anderson’s sermons never contain any genuine spirituality. I’ve never heard him preach about Jesus Christ and need to take up our cross and follow him. I’ve never heard him preach on the beatitudes or on the mercy of God. He focuses on hateful rants and spends a lot of time in the Old Testament. The man twists scripture to conform with his own personal views.
