A package of new white fruit of the loom t-shirts costs the same as a pack of cigs.And again you are right…but like I said the money isn’t there from either one of us at the moment so I will definitely telling him to trim…the smoking only GOD can convince this man to do that…
Really five bucks? Where at??? And again with the cigs thing, he isn’t going to give up a pack of cigs for shirts!! LOL Even if his life depended on it…He gets that from his mother, woman almost died and doctor’s told her that if she didn’t quit she was she’s still smoking…It’s pretty sad…She’s German and really stubborn no one except for her is right… no matter what! And even though my fiance is half Italian, it’s been a nightmare to make him quit smoking!!!
He doesn’t smoke around my kids or me, but still, you can smell it on him even hours after… It’s a horrible addiction he began smoking when his mother left a cig on the table when he was 13 he took it and thought it was cool to look like mommy… been smoking ever since…way over a decade you know?! His parents both smoked and drank a lot infront of him, as well as they did other stuff…I thank GOD he isn’t like that… Except he smokes up a storm! He can buy a carton and in one week it’s gone!!! I am not kidding you when I tell you I have tried to help him quit…failed miserably!!!It’s an addiction that’s something mental and physical that’s out of my power…No matter how much our priest has tried to help him and give him counseling, etc he is unable to let it go like I said he smokes just like his mother does…
I will stop by there again…Like I said I will have to help him…and don’t ask me where he gets his money for his cigs because I don’t know I don’t give him a penny at all! I don’t tolerate habits like that…I don’t have them I don’t think it’s fair that he can’t give it up… Most likely from his friends…They all smoke up a storm as well…I guess what I mean is, is there someone who can advocate for him? Someone who is above the lady that is complaining? His co-workers opinion is good but it only goes so far KWIM?Oh sorry I didn’t answer…I thought I did…man I keep like doing things like this where I think I do something but don’t? But I am definitely going to suggest for him to trim and as soon as some money comes available offer him the extra shirts and socks even underwear…That’s just weird first job I have ever heard them complain about him about anything and tell him he will get fired?! So weird…

He’s allowed 2 breaks…that’s when he smokes…how much he smokes I can’t tell you…he doesn’t spend smoking the entire day at work…only during the breaks…It could also be the lost work time.
If someone smokes a carton a week, and let’s say they sleep 8 hours and spend another couple of hours doing things where they could not smoke - that means they are smoking a little over 2 cigarettes an hour over the course of a 14 hour waking day.
At if he sucks down a cig in 5 minutes, that is still 10 minutes out of each hour X 8 hours = almost an hour and a half of work time lost to smoking EVERY day.
A manager should complain about that much lost work time.
Because there are complaints made…
