Your prayers are much needed right now

I feel so selfish for asking prayers for myself… I am suffering a miserable heartache. My ex boyfriend who has been in my life for almost 10 years broke up with me over the summer for another girl he just met. I cannot get over him and I pray every day that we will work things out. Its been 3 months and I still cry everyday. We were so happy together I don’t even know what happened. He is in the military and on a deployment right now. We don’t even talk anymore except maybe 1 email a month. Please help me pray for him that he is safe, please help pray that my broken heart will be healed soon, and please help me pray that we find each other again. I can’t live without him anymore… He is my everything.

I had a broken engagement once about 17 years ago.
I cried a whole Summer and did not get over it until Winter.
I know it hurts now, but I wouldn’t trade my current wife
of 12 years for anyone. I will pray the pain goes away.
What ever happens turn more to God.
 
I will pray for the Archangel St Raphael, to soothe your broken heart, and for him to help lead you to the person who will truly love you.

I know you feel your ex was the person you would be with forever, but he doesn’t feel the same way.
Yes, your heart is broken, but do you really want to spend any more time and effort on someone that wants someone else?? Sure it hurts, believe me, we have all been hurt by another, but we have to pick ourselves up, stop thinking of only ourselves, and get busy doing for others. The busier you are, the less time you have to think about you.
You have a raw scab right now, but it will start to heal if you don’t go back and keep picking at it. There is an old saying, and the reason it has been around for so long, is because it is true; “Time heals all wounds.”

Pray for St. Raphael to interceed for you, To help heal your heart, and to help you meet the right man who will truly love and cherish you,and who would never leave you,no matter what.

Oh Mother of the Word Incarnate, despise not my petitions but in thy mercy hear and answer me. Amen.

By the way, I do not believe that it is selfish to ask for prayers for oneself. 🙂
 
Loving God please give comfort to our heartbroken sister. :grouphug:
Her feelings are deeply entwined in this long-term relationship, and cling to it, even though now it no longer exists in reality. She has lost the dream of a future that she hoped for.
This is traumatic and distressing as any of us who have lost loved ones and spouses know so well.

Please protect and guide her ex-boyfriend, and help him to choose wisely for his future.
Help them both to comprehend and grow in whatever way each needs to develop.

Please help her to prune away the clinging tendrils and to grow strong as the wonderful individual person whom she is created to be. Help her to see clearly and to be able to accept present reality in a wholesome way that will free her to new life and happiness.
