*I want to thank you for your prayers and give all glory and praise to out Lord, the Blessed Mother and St. Joseph for hearing the cries of a mother.
A week and a half ago I went to court with a petition for an emergency hearing to push back my ds overnights with his father for another 30 days, considering his father had not kept up with the court ordered visitation schedule. Of the 48 hours over 8 weeks he was supposed to visit my ds to gradually build up to an overnight he only visited with him 22 hours over 10 weeks.
Well the judge, which was not the sitting judge this guy was just taking his place for the day, said he would not allow for an emergency hearing and that ds had to follow the original schedule and do an overnight the next day. Needless to say, I was devastated and my soon to be ex husband, after practically calling me a liar about ds’s behavior since his visits, walked out of there with a smirk on his face and with such arrogance. I felt horrible and was just crying, all I could do was get my little man ready for the next day.
Well I prayed and prayed all the way back to work and prayed some more and prayed well into the night. The following morning I woke ds up and got him ready to go with his father and packed his bag. Well 10am came and went and he didn’t show up, he didn’t show up at all on that Sat. Supposedly he came by on Sun., but I was not expecting him then so we weren’t home. I received a text message from him on Mon that he had sent to his attorney saying that he had come by and I didn’t answer the door, for her to submit paperwork showing that I was not being compliant. Anyway, my attorney and I weren’t worried since he was supposed to pick him up on Sat.
The following weekend I again prayed and prayed and prayed some more that he wouldn’t show up on Sat. and I got ds ready and his father didn’t show up again! I was sooooo happy and was praising God for hearing my cry. I want to thank all of you also because I know it been your prayers that the Lord has heard on my behalf.
I want to ask you to continue to pray that these overnights NEVER happen, in two weeks he’s supposed to start taking him all weekend every other weekend and this has me so distressed! I know that it is not in the best interest of this child for any overnights to happen much less full weekends and I just don’t know how to keep this from happening. I know I can’t keep this from happening, but God can, He is all powerful and all knowing and I beg for your prayers that He have mercy on me and my little boy that no overnights ever happen, please pray for us, thank you!!!*
Psalm 13
How long, LORD? Will you utterly forget me?
How long will you hide your face from me?
How long must I carry sorrow in my soul,
grief in my heart day after day?
How long will my enemy triumph over me?
Look upon me, answer me, LORD, my God!
Give light to my eyes lest I sleep in death,
Lest my enemy say, “I have prevailed,”
lest my foes rejoice at my downfall.
I trust in your faithfulness.
Grant my heart joy in your help,
That I may sing of the LORD,
"How good our God has been to me!"
