. I was just thinking about how much better I’ve been doing about not getting mad about such little stuff with my husband and I’ve raged at him twice this week already :crying: and it’s Wednesday :crying:
ONLY twice, you must be a near saint. My DW chews me out about twice an hour.😃

What is it about wives that they insist that husbands have to be constantly doing something ???

Don’t they know that sitting in front of the TV watch sports, drinking beer, and scratching themselves IS doing something !!

Anyone see the Sunday comics with : Non Sequitur… ?? It has man (before women) after watching football, baseball and basketball on TV and drinking beer, saying something was missing, then he asks God for something new and exciting.

God answered with …

. HOCKEY !!

Okay, it’s a guy thing, but I thought it was hilarious.

Fear

Impatience

Gluttony

I try to fill those holes with the love of God.

Wow, you just described me when you answered this question! So, how do you (or will you) overcome these 'cause I know I have such trouble dealing with them!

God Bless!
Hello! 😃

Believe me, I’m still trying to figure that out. As a 17 year old girl with a weakness for love songs/stories and being constantly bombarded with the thought that you always need a boyfriend in order to make you happy, it’s hard to find ways to overcome things like the desire for love (or maybe a better way to say it is a desire to be loved) or difficulty in trusting where my vocation lies.

I find that prayer helps me immensely when I am going through a particularly hard struggle. And I don’t mean “organized” or “structured” prayer (i.e. 15 Hail Mary’s, etc.)…my favorite kind of prayer is when you sit down somewhere in a comfortable setting and just have a chat with God about what’s going on in your life. I feel that He’s my best friend, and I’m sure He would want it that way. 🙂

I also keep in contact with my aunt (who is a nun) and find that seeing people leading happy and fulfilling lives as religious gives me hope that if I’m called to the consecrated life, I won’t be left “broken-hearted”, so to speak.

As for impatience…deep breaths. 😉 I take that one on a day-to-day basis. 😛
