Seems like a good site. 👍
But it looks like it’s for men.
Good point. I didn’t even think about it. But discerning a vocation is the same for men and women isn’t it? I mean the basic problem of giving one’s life completely to God should have the same basic principles wouldn’t it? No?

I found the site through Victor Cleveau(sp?) who was on Catholic Answers Live. He gave really good answers so I wanted to check out his website and then I saw this vocation section and click on it. He has two websites one is Evangelization Station and I dont remember the other.

Yes and no. Men and women are very different in how they think and in what they are expected to do, socially speaking. While the devotion to God might be the same, the discernment process is most likely very different 🙂

Yes i guess so, but still it’ also very different. . Vocation sites seem to focus on the priesthood, and of course priests are important, but I could sure use some sisterly:D advice.

Yes… that’s pretty much what I was saying… the process is different. 🙂

Seems like we agree then:D

I think the internet is a great tool when it comes to discerning (also on Catholicism). I have found people that want to help me there.

Me too! I really enjoy just talking to other Catholics as well… sometimes about our faith and sometimes just about whatever’s going on in life. Right now, I’ve also joined a really extremist anti-Catholic forum (hear me out!) and I’m really enjoying it because I feel like maybe I can get them not only to talk but also maybe to listen. At first I was so sad to see so many people calling us evil and twisting the truth, but now I see it as a great way to give my faith a really good work out and to mission to others with patience as God wants us to.

The internet has really given us so many opportunities that we didn’t really have before – it’s great!

It has also really made my location less of a hindrance.

I need good impulses. That means impulses that aren’t from arrogant atheists or Anti-Catholics.

Well needless to say I’m being thoroughly taken to task by the anti-Catholics at the board I mentioned above, but I think I’m doing a good job holding my ground, and I’ve actually managed to open up a little bit of a dialogue with a couple of them.

I seem to remember from my time on YD that you’re somewhere in Europe, am I right about that? Glad to hear the internet has been such a great resource for you as well!

The misconceptions from what i’ve seen, seem to be unoriginal.

You’ve been at YD? great:thumbsup:
Yes I am in northern Europe(Scandinavia), Norway:)

Needless to say; secularized Lutherland

Yes, I was Eric-

Are there any/many Catholic parishes in your area?

(Emphasis mine)
Does this mean that you do not plan on coming back?
Yes, no offence to anyone there because they’re all great people, but it wasn’t what I expected and I have found other sources of support that I prefer.

Hey, I found the YD thread here! 😃 Hello, YDers (I’m MusicGal/Erin). :tiphat: Yeah, I’m beginning to agree with you, AquinaSavio- these smileys are pretty sweet!
