YouTube becoming anti-Catholic haven

Youtube is like a blackboard. It is blank, empty, until you write something onto it. And Anti-Catholics have learned quickly how to use this medium to attack the Faith. Catholics in particular should use it to counter their propaganda by uploading Christian-oriented and morally uplifting, inspirational videos there. In addition, you can always post comments on youtube concerning a particular video, especially offensive ones.
THANK YOU! Personally I’m tired of seeing Catholics drop the ball on these things. Come on if the Protestant heritics can do it so can we!

The following is a small sample of Catholic you tube videos.

Orthodox Catholic

Catholic version of I can only Imagne

Video of Eastern Icons dedicated to the Reunion of our Faiths

Kyrie Eleison

My Personal favorite “Why am I Catholic?”

Catholic Faith (genuine Christianity)

There’s a small sampling. admitedly not much. So people with web cames and the skill. GET YOU TUBING!

Now go to YouTube and search “Blasphemy Challenge Redeemed.”

A classmate of mine started this movement to profess faith publicly, without the promise of any reward or prize. A number of students from my university have posted videos professing our Catholic beliefs, and combat opponents in video and comment/message form. Don’t think there isn’t an army of Catholics, young people with a passion for Christ and the One True Faith, fighting daily in between classes and studying and social lives for our Faith.

I encourage you all on behalf of all who participate in “Blasphemy Challenge Redeemed” to upload a video of yourself professing your personal beliefs and reasons for believing. The best defense is a good witness, and it is up to us, the believers, to provide it.

In the peace and love of Christ,
Kephas Augustine.

Nice on the Redeemed. Although I think there Protestants not Catholics. Still awsome!

That is one effective way to counter anti-Christian, anti-Catholic propaganda on youtube, by courageously professing your faith there, and urging others to do the same.

I have experienced both good & bad things with YouTube. One of the good stories from YouTube is about how Jesus saves a professional gambler (Jimmy Tang) from destructions & death.

With demonic powers for 6 years, Jimmy had won $20 millions from casinos. However within 3 months of the 7th year, Jimmy lost 21.5 millions back to casinos. By Jesus’ Grace he is saved & quits gambling for good. Jimmy’s story is for real, & now he’s going around the world to peach Gospels.

To see the real movie about Jimmy’s story, please copy this link to your web browser & get to the source.

This I did not know - awesome! Means I can have my favourite EWTN shows on tap without having to fork out for DVDs :extrahappy:

I just wish they’d disable comments on some of those videos. Some of the bickering your see on youtube makes you want to jump off of a bridge. 😦

I hope you’re supporting EWTN with other $$ then, because the sale of DVD’s, books, etc help support the mission!! 😉

YouTube might not be around. Viacom is suing them (parent company: Google) for $1 billion due to copyright infringement since everyone is putting up clips of programs, videos, etc…

Actually it’s preidicted that google will win…

They Google can successfully make the argument there doing all they can to remove the clips. Plus rather than hurting Viacom there videos can be argued to actually stir up interest in there products.

Viacom is worth $26 billion, Google ir worth far more then that. I have no doubt that Youtube will come out of this with little problems.

The Catholic Bishops’ Conference of the Philippines (CBCP) has recently made good use of YouTube and saw its viability of it as a tool for Apologetics. They’ve made some things available there. I’ll get more on this and post the links here.

YouTube is 99% junk… just like everything else in this world. Movies, music, TV etc.
It should be treated with caution and common sense just like any other website with many different types of people on it.

I use it to distribute my videos and embed them on my site. I usually don’t go just browsing around YouTube just for the heck of it.
