It surprisingly has a lot of dislikes… 🤷
Not surprising at all. There is a vehemently anti-gay segment of the population, online in particular, that love to trash things like this. You can see some of the type on the comments section of that video. The worst are the ones who masquerade as “Christians”, yet post things, for example, that call for the wholesale slaughter of homosexuals.

I defy you to find me any single group that does not have hate comments sent their way. This is universal across the board. There is nothing “special” about the LGBTQXYZ victim status, they honestly have it extremely good. It seems like every other day there has to be some dumb reason to shout gay pride or talk about how brave they are in their echo chamber.

Lord knows those in the LG community are capable of spreading hate and vitriol. Like how gay republicans were excluded from some march not to long ago, or gay jews just recently being kicked out because apparently being gay means being pro-palestine.

Well this isn’t something we’re suppose to be proud of so I support the dislikes.

Putting aside the broad brush with which you paint, tell me. What do you say to the people that have people from the LGBT community shout at them that they are racist, transphobic, homophobic, etc., or those who have lost careers or businesses because of vocal activists in the group. The arguement is too broad to cover. also, are the people you are refering to as “christians” the west boro baptists? because I would like links to actual comments of genocide from any other protestant or catholic commenter.

I am not angry with you btw. I no longer see anger as an acceptable means of conveying a message. Even though I disagree with the LGBT people about the science behind their belief, I respect the human dignity of them, even the people that will do vile acts such as ruining peoples livlihoods. I see that even though they believe in different ideas that they deserve dignity and a chance to explain their position. What I think would be best is to see why these people believe in the vitrol that is in their comments. and if they call you deragatuory names then that means you cannot really change their minds or their hearts. I have come to accept that to some degree, but lashing out because someone says something inflamatory only justifies their position. Its like victim points if you can imagine, the more people hate you, the more justified their position is in their mind. I do not condone such behaviour as described, but you have to understand that its not as simple as “I say, therefore I am” because I would say that I could fly and then jump off a building. Just because they say these things does not mean they are going to do it, and if they were, that is what the civil system is for. I hope this clears some things up. Take care my dude.

Very true. But I wouldn’t assume that someone is like that just because he/she gave that video a thumbs-down.

Sad, obviously. Hopefully we can at least stand together against that – and indeed against all those who have been hijacking conservatism. (Just as conversely we can stand together against the “BlackLivesMatter” rhetoric.)

I think one key is to maintain courtesy and respect. And if someone isn’t into that, ignore them.
Some people just like to post stuff to annoy people. Some people specialize in being trolls. Some people need to get a life. We can pray for them.

Viki, I could just hug you for saying that. Frankly, it seems like most of my friends who participate on forums (and not just CAF but pretty much every forum there is) do exactly the opposite: that is, they gravitate toward bad posts.

It’s like if I wanted to become more popular I would just start being the biggest jerk I could.
