YouTube video concerning video games and the damsel in distress

I’ll be honest, I haven’t watched this. Nor do I really want to because she is a fraud and misrepresents somethings. I don’t want to support that.
 
I watched the first 5 minutes. Boring and predictable. She seems to have very little connection to any reality that I have experienced.

I_R, why do you think Anita Sarkeesian is a fraud?
 
She is not a gamer, but claims she is. She started a kickstarter and raised $150,000 for a show whos production value is no where near that. She stole gameplay footage from others and did not credit them.
 
It wasn’t a matter of it being illegal, it was the sheer unprofessionalism of it. She store from some gameplay network that let anyone use their gameplay if they were to just ask permission and credit them in someway; she didn’t. It wasn’t illegal, but scummy.

that is just a minor side note on why she should not be taken seriously. If she is running a show like this she need to point out facts, not blatant lies. like the falsehoods she said against Hitman: Absolution.

People have to excuse me. The concept of the damsel in distress has so often bothered me.

Why do people have to excuse you? Are you leaving the thread???

People can be against damsel tropes and also not like Anita’s videos. It’s not hard to find other women - feminist women - who think she’s dishonest, sensationalizing, and don’t trust her motives.

Havard, how do you think Ms. Sarkeesian is dishonest and sensationalizing?

if you want to criticize the damsel tropes, then you don’t need Anita to validate your opinions on the matter. she is corrupt and is not doing her ideology any favors
