YouTube – Poll: How much skin exposure of the body is acceptable?
On YouTube, there are voluminous uploaded video clips of young guys in their teens and twenties, playing all sorts of stripping games, as well as streaking and skinny dipping.
The video clips show males playing strip poker, strip ping pong, strip tennis, strip pool, strip soccer, etc. And videos showing guys streaking through school halls, malls and football games, or running naked down the street just for the fun of it. A classic collection of ‘ Boys will be boys ’.
I think everyone can agree that in the presence of males only, guys can strip down to their birthday suit, and show everything, without worrying about preserving their modesty or doing anything wrong or sinful. We all know that males are allowed to see other males with no clothes on, as in school locker rooms and in military service.
Nowadays many young males wear their pants so far down below their actual waistlines, that more than half their underwear is visible. Seeing young guys wearing only their underwear, is now equally as acceptable as seeing team swimmers wearing Speedo swimsuits. I think in the early 1900’s, it was indecent for men to be seen on the beach with their bare chests exposed.
The real question for today is how far can males strip down, when there are females present? None of the guys on YouTube seem to have any concerns or problems with stripping down to only their underwear. And the girls are more than willing to watch the guys take their clothes off. In fact, most of the underwear that guys wear today, covers more of their bodies and are less revealing than the Speedo swimsuits.
In many of the YouTube videos, while playing these strip games, streaking, and skinny dipping, the guys will actually remove their underwear altogether. But they will usually keep their sex organs covered by holding them in their hand. The girls never actually see the guys’ penis or testicles. Technically, the males are nude. But since their genitals are not visible, the males are exhibiting only partial nudity as opposed to full frontal nudity. I have seen only a very few YouTube videos showing male full frontal nudity.
So, is a young Catholic guy allowed to strip down to his birthday suit, during stripping games with his friends, in front of girls, if he hides his genitals with his hand, or his underwear or something else? Is keeping his genitals covered enough to maintain and preserve his modesty ( at least to a bare minimum )? As soon as Adam covered his genitals with the fig leaf, it was enough to maintain his own modesty.

In today’s culture, if young guys decide NOT to cover their genitals at all, and allow themselves to be seen totally naked, (full frontal nudity ), in the presence of females, should this action be viewed as, harmless and not at all sinful, or venial sin, or matter for mortal sin?
I would be interested in hearing all other opinion.
