There are a lot of angry atheists/anti-theists on YouTube who really try to distort and mis-interpret Bible verses etc. They are really intolerant of religion and religious people. Is it worth trying to argue or put across the truth to these people, or not? There is just so many lies going around on there, it’s disgusting!!

I have tried. many times may I say, to try and have rational discussions with some of these people, but more hateful things are always added soon after!
 
Don’t waste your time in discussion with these folks. I made the mistake of actually thinking that another “Christian” discussion site was a place to discuss theological issues that crossed Catholic-Protestant boundries. Wrong. The anti-Catholic rhetoric was unbelievable, to the point of several zealots haranging the Catholics that hang around that site for not being Christian.

Same thing with Atheists online. The problem is, people write things that they would never have the sand to say to your face; courtesty and manners go out the window.

Again, don’t waste your time. It’s easy to get into arguments and lose your cool…then how well do you really represent your faith? I don’t have the patience to waste time with people who aren’t interested in rational, measured discussion…and these aren’t typically the people that you find online, present company and I’m sure a few other religious websites excluded.

And a third time…don’t waste your time. Better to spend the 10 or 20 minutes a day studying scripture or praying. 👍
 
Don’t waste your time. They are self absorbed and want nothing more than to feel relevant by getting somone to give them the time of day and debate with them. An atheist wants nothing more than company and thinks truth is defined by numbers…
