I was doing research on some WWII era Italian music and I found some of it on youtube. Then I asked myself, “Is this a sin?” Am I being too scrupulous or is listening to music on youtube a variant of stealing/piracy? I’m confused and curious. Can someone help?
I think it’s okay to listen to music on YouTube. You are not downloading the song onto your computer, but you are basically streaming it off their site. There are a lot of songs on YouTube. If it were against the piracy laws, I would imagine that they would not be so plentiful (as YouTube would be required to pull them).
