Being ex military, far from accurate!

Pure propaganda piece, bin Laden has been dead for a decade. Obummer just needed something to boost his ratings.

Very interesting and yes, intense but ultimately, quite depressing. If you like detective movies, then this one’s for you.

Glad I’m not the only who feels this way. Bin laden is only a boogie man to scare the American people to support this “war on terror”. If you read the book 1984 by Geroge Orwell, Bin Laden is sort of like the character Goldstien.

thanks for your replies. i have my suspicions that this is a true version of events.

Since there is ample support for the “Bin Laden’s been dead for 10 years” conspiracy, I just wanted to chime in to say I think that is hilariously ridiculous. I’m the last person to support Obama, and I don’t give him any credit whatsoever for simply saying the obvious “yes” to the question “should we proceed?” but I do believe Bin Laden was killed when we were told he was killed.

Haven’t seen the movie though, so I can’t comment on that. It looked cool, blood and guts, good guys killing bad guys, right up my alley.

I’d like to see the movie, but alas with the price of tickets, I might just wait until I can rent it.

To be fair most people are stupid. In groups they are dumber because when you speak to a crowd you have to talk to the dumbest one there.

You don’t have to be a evil communist to use the classic ‘lets go get and bring them to justice!’

It’s a simple rally cry everyone can understand down to the dumbest person.

I don’t think the government is as corrupt as everyone thinks. I don’t think they are plotting evil plan or such like. I do think men and women are weak and that people are stupid. I think that governments have a hard time being honest because people are stupid so they have to be sold simple ideas and half truths.

When people stop grasping at straws and learn to be objective I’m sure this kinda thing will stop. Till then take everything said with a grain of salt, don’t buy into over the top flag waving, avoid conspiracy feeds and most importantly research!

The worlds not so dark that America would destroy its own twin towers but its not so light that Americans didn’t help.

Truth will surface when it’s ready to till then avoid wild speculation.👍

I haven’t seen the movie because the whole situation–Osama, 9/11, terrorists. etc.–makes me really sad and I’m not sure what I’m intended to “get” out of seeing Zero Dark Thirty. Is it mean to entertain? Am I supposed to cheer the hunting down and killing of a man? Is it meant to be an accurate portrayal of events?

I guess for me, it still falls under the “too soon” category; I find it more heart-rending and find myself filled with compassion for all lives involved. I’m not ready to treat this as a historical event that I can view with minimal emotional involvement.

disclaimer: personal opinion

I imagine it had it’s fair share of artistic license. (I know that the main character was an amalgam of at least two real life persons.) But as far as movies that cover real life events go it is a much better movie than Argo.

i saw Argo also. to me, it was a project by ben affleck to boost his ego and highlight hollywood’s role in getting the people out of Iran. i think because of Afflect and the hollywood left, this movie is getting more positive review than it deserves.
