You might not follow a solid argument from genetics, and even if you did, you would just end up rejecting the science as being not in conformity with a literal interpretation of the biblical story of Adam and Eve!
And this would be bad, because …

Unlike the Catholic Church, I don’t think the Academy of Sciences is considered to be infallible.

Surely you can create a much more solid basis for an argument then this.
You think the pope might possibly say something that agrees with you if he were in a fictional event.

Ad hominem attacks do nothing to support your case.

It’s not ad hominem at all. You’ve already rejected the evidence from genetics, so I have nothing further to say about the matter.,

vz71, how it works is this:

If you buy into all of the pro-Evolution propaganda without questioning it, you are a “thinking, reasonable person.”

But, if you think things through for yourself, compare everything to the Doctrine of the Church, and realize that something doesn’t add up quite right, then you are “not bright enough to follow a scientific argument,” or else you are “brainwashed by the Church,” or else you are some kind of congenital idiot.

I find it rather ironic, myself. 🤷

Agreed. I don’t buy any propaganda. I merely follow the evidence where it leads.
