Zyxter Church/Movement

Hi all,

I would just like to know more and opinions on the Zxyter Movement? There Pastors are inviting people on face book to join there group by adding them as friends, they have me and a some of my friends. They have 45,000+ members on face book. I have never herd of them before and would really appreciate your thoughts on them and there beliefs?

The movement is to get people who have been “burned by religion” to join their church and their movement. To change the way “church” is…
It is the kind of movement that leads Catholics who are having a tough time with their faith to leave the Church and join one of many megachurches:“You won’t feel like you’ve been sentenced to prison when you visit the Zyxter Church experience. Zyxter seems to be another movement for people who have experience a call to Jesus, but feel hurt by the church Jesus established. The problem with these “reactionary” movements is they usually have inherent major flaws.

An example of a flaw that will do more harm than good is the decision to “not parent the way my parents parented!” Parents who raise children this way, spend far too much time trying to avoid their parents’ failures instead of seeking correct parenting styles and techniques. It would be like being yelled at for every little mistake you made, but are never taught what you should do.

In the same way, people who abandon “formal” churches end up denying a foundational part of the church Jesus established–church leadership (Pastors, Teachers, Evangelists, Apostles, Prophets). This usually leads to vague religion, fear of leadership and a gnawing sense that something is wrong, “but it can’t be my view of the church!” The other path taken with this rejection of church based on past hurts, is winding up under leadership (because everyone MUST have it!) that is worse than the previous “bad leaders.”

Time will tell if Zyxter has this flaw.
