Well, you’re not bringing a lot to the field for us to work with, to be honest. Just a lot of blanket accusations and self-imposed “rules”. So far, homosexual sex isn’t sodomy and you know exactly what the animals in the Garden of Eden were doing to each other.

Care to take a step back and try again?
Care to try acting like a decent human being?

Blanket accusations and self-imposed rules better known as logic and the word of God.

Homosexual sex isn’t sodomy and I never claimed what the animals in the Garden of Eden were doing, I just speculated-a single line in this whole debate which you’ve got rather attached to.

And on that note, I’ve gone ahead and reported you. Have a good day.
Yes, I probably shouldn’t have said that and I apologise. The moment of a heated debate but what is done is done.

The Old testament condones and in some cases encourages slavery for children, stoning for those who work on Sundays, death for those who touch the skin of a dead pig, death by stoning for those who plant different crops next to each other and the burning of those who wear clothes made from two different threads.

Yes-we are sometimes smarter than our ancestors.

Truth doesn’t change but what people perceived as the truth does change.
Read up on slavery in the OT compared to modern slavery.

I don’t know. Opinions vary, we don’t all answer to a single person.
We can’t base morality on “opinions”, and we - Catholics, Anglicans, Muslims, Atheists, and all - DO answer to a single person. Actually three Persons: God the Father, God the Son, and God the Holy Spirit. God has repeatedly informed us - through both Scripture and Tradition - that homosexual activity is always wrong.

The point is not all love is good. How do we distinguish which love is good and what is evil?
Agreed, not all love is good. We distinguish it by reading and understanding the word of God.

What passage condones it?
There are a number of passages I believe but this one I found-

Exodus 21:7

‘When a man sells his daughter as a slave, she shall not go free as male slaves do.’

Of course it’s open to interpretation but seems pretty clear.

Agreed. We all do answer to three persons. However God had not repeatedly informed us, at least not recently that homosexuality is wrong.

Beliefs need to be rooted in truth.
  1. God ordained marriage to generate and nurture offspring
  2. Homosexual marriage cannot
  3. Therefore homosexual marriage cannot be ordained by God.
Where is your proof for 1.

Haydock Commentary -

**Ver. 7. **Go out, to work in the fields, according to Grotius; or rather, to enjoy her liberty. A father who sold his daughter, always expected that she should be the wife of the purchaser, or of his son. If this did not take place, she was free after six years, or before, if her master died.

This was one of the very first acts of God. By creating Eve from Adam He unified them and showed us the model for marriage and family. This was the example we are all to follow.

God said, ‘Let us make man in our own image, in the likeness of ourselves, and let them be masters of the fish of the sea, the birds of heaven, the cattle, all the wild animals and all the creatures that creep along the ground.’ 27 God created man in the image of himself, in the image of God he created him, male and female he created them.
28 God blessed them, saying to them, ‘Be fruitful, multiply, fill the earth and subdue it. Be masters of the fish of the sea, the birds of heaven and all the living creatures that move on earth.’
29 God also said, ‘Look, to you I give all the seed-bearing plants everywhere on the surface of the earth, and all the trees with seed-bearing fruit; this will be your food.
30 And to all the wild animals, all the birds of heaven and all the living creatures that creep along the ground, I give all the foliage of the plants as their food.’ And so it was.
31 God saw all he had made, and indeed it was very good. Evening came and morning came: the sixth day.

Jesus’s first public miracle was at the wedding feast at Cana.
