en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Anglican_Communion
You could have simply told us about the Anglican Communion.
In any event, it sounds as though the Anglican Communion is as fractured and unable to come to single consensus as any other Protestant denomination. Must feel like being in a home where any of the children can make the rules.
Please don’t be insulting to my Church. We believe in democracy.
Then define what you see as “sodomy”, so that we actually have an idea of where you’re coming from. The standard definition, as defined by Wikipedia, is: "Sodomy (/ˈsɒdəmi/) is any non-penile/vaginal copulation-like act, such as oral or anal sex, or sex between a person and an animal."
I’d define sodomy as unnatural sex. Granted, a more modern definition than its historical counterpart.
According to the description above, it is sodomy. What else would homosexual sex be?
I would say homosexual sex is not sodomy.
And, you might as well say “The Tooth Fairy is real, because she is.” That is what your statement sounds like.
I’m sorry if it sounds that way to you. I think I’ve set out a number of arguments here.
In other words, if you don’t like the rules, chuck them out of the window.
No, but I do acknowledge that some of the rules were written a long time ago and could be wrong. I can’t follow a rule if I think it is unacceptable to do so in the eyes of God. My innate morality tells me that homosexuality is natural and fine.
Even Jesus was a good and faithful Jew. He didn’t buck the rules, he completed them.
I know, and I know it seems like I’m bucking the rules, but I don’t feel like I am-I feel like I’m following the most important ones.
