Praise God for the man’s healing and the intercession of Pope Benedict XVI.

I’m going to go off on a tangent here since cancer is one of the subjects. A family doctor who I have been reading about said that of all his patients that came down with various cancers revealed in questioning that all of them ate very few vegetables and fruits. He went on to say that the sickest of his cancer patients tended to have even lower intake of vegetables and fruits than the other cancer patients. He was of course talking about their pre-cancer diet. I am not a vegetarian or vegan, and do not advocate that at all, but I do suggest we all include plenty of fresh vegetable and fresh fruit in our diets, and eliminate as much as possible all processed foods.

“A year has gone by and Peter has made a full recovery from cancer, he is in his second year at university and one day hopes to be ordained a priest.”

A cured cancer and a young man inspired to be a priest. I would not be surprised if Papa Benedict became a saint one day. :gopray2:

This is awesome. We might be on a run of Pope saints. 🙂

I can imagine Pope Benedict XVI becoming a Doctor of the Church someday, although it probably won’t happen in my lifetime.

Normally, the miracles don’t start till after the potential-saint-in-question has died!

Miracles can happen while the person is alive. Many saints performed miracles before they died.

In anecdotal episodes from various Vatican officials and written episodes in books by Pope John Paul II’s secretaries, it is said many miracles happened during Pope John Paul II’s pontificate.
