I thought we were supposed to vote for Trump because the stock market is so good.
Catholic forum, I thought we voted for the candidate with the best platform respecting the sanctity of life

A couple of years ago my wife and invested in a fund that is low risk and only does well when markets go down. So far it’s pulling 9.5%. That’s approaching Madoff money.

Holding those that the stimulus could really help hostages for their votes. What a class act.

vote him in again and he’ll fix it all. he can’t do it now because he’s just the President right now.

It’s what many suspected would happen. The latest stimulus talks were more political campaigning than anything. Probably after the election a new stimulus will be possible.

Did read that there remains funds not spent and with that President Trump is likely to issue an executive order with that money. Imagine that will help Americans in need.

excerpt:

…But, as we’ve discussed, there remains a path to getting money into people’s hands. There is $200 billion of unspent money from Cares Act 1.0. And there is $130 billion of unspent money from the Payroll Protection Program. Trump may reallocate those funds, once again, by Executive Order . This would bridge the country to a full reopening of the economy (in the case of Trump re-election). In the case of a Biden win, and democratic sweep, we would be sure to see the full democrat stimulus package deployed.

What about a Trump win and a continuation of the split Congress? I suspect we may see a war-time stimulus package, as he turns the focus toward “confronting our problems” (i.e. China).

so say the Republicans. And the Democrats say the Republicans don’t seem interested in negotiations.

The Democrats were throwing in handouts to illegals and trying to keep them from being deported. Holding needed aid for Americans hostage under those conditions is evil and President Trump was right to reject it.

People and nation first, not personal greed and never foreigners!

it was the Republican President who drove the final nail because he has a more pressing agenda, the election. American people can wait.

The Democrats could have proposed a clean bill instead of sticking their poison pills into it.

Just flat out despicable of the American left to hold hungry homeless kids hostage then.

And waste time that could be better spent elsewhere? Like a supreme court justice?

I don’t believe the democrats were ever interested in the bill. The just wanted to waste time and keep people miserable until the election.

Trump called then on it and is moving on.
