I’m not sure “nationalism” means the same thing to all people. I think in European circles it means an extreme national aggrandizing kind of thing, sometimes based on racism, more or less associated with Fascism. I think Argentinian understandings are more like those of Europe than those of the U.S.Has he made a binding proclamation in regards to it?
In the U.S., for most people, it means the kind of patriotism espoused by the Knights of Columbus and in no way opposed to Church teaching plus putting American national interests ahead of those of other countries which does not conflict with the Church’s teachings as far as I know.
Among the far left in the U.S. it’s more like the European notion, only worse.
