In light of the recent scandal at Notre Dame, I encourage everyone to join this movement to pray 1,000,000 rosaries for a change of heart in Obama, at Notre Dame, and in America regarding abortion.
Our strongest weapon to fight this public scandal and disregard for the importance of life is to have recourse to prayer…many have responded angrily to this situation, questioning why Our Lord would allow such a public scandal. It is to remind us to put all of our hope in Him, and to redouble our efforts to pray for an end to abortion in this country and across the world. Perhaps all we need to do is to recall the words of our own fight song. Assured of Victory, we call to mind the words of the Blessed Mother given at Fatima: "In the end, my Immaculate Heart will triumph."

Thank you, Abbe.

I’m **100% ** against this whole Obama situation. Still, I’m disheartened by all of the ND-bashing going on.
Victory in war does not depend upon the size of the army, but on strength that comes from Heaven.
-1 Maccabees 3:19.
There are certainly quite a few problems at Notre Dame that need to be resolved, and in that sense, some criticism is warranted. But giving up on ND, IMHO, is not the answer. We can hurl as many rocks and insults as we like at it, but in the end, I think that prayer is really the only answer.

In 1 Maccabees 3:19 They did fast and pray, but then they went out to battle and won. Though they were quite out numbered and hungry from fasting their strength came from Heaven.
Praying and fasting is powerful and should be done. But shouldn’t we raise our voices to defend life. I don’t really know how far the students are going with this. It seems they are being respectful.
I’m so tired of the Catholic Colleges not defending and up holding the Faith and so are these students.

We should definitely raise our voices and protest this…emailing, calling Fr. Jenkins, writing letters to newspapers, participating in the Red Envelope campaign, even going to ND’s campus, etc. In the end, though, none of those actions will be successful without a lot of prayer!

I’m also ashamed of the direction many Catholic colleges are taking. I think we should fight this. But at the same time, I think we should do it respectfully and without making sweeping generalizations of the entire ND student body. :o

I will say a rosary for the intention (for Obama and Notre Dame}. John Romanoski
