:rotfl: If you only knew…In 1957 when I was in first grade, to get me to do my arithmetic, if I got an “A” on my test, I got to go to Sr. Mary Magdalene’s office (our principal) and she rewarded me with a holy card! Mickey Mantle? Nah! St. Michael!

Which would be great if you had it … but there’s no way Baptists have even the shadow of a claim to be the church founded on Rock against which the gates of Hell will not prevail.

In as much as you bear little resemblance to the Orthodox and the Catholics, who DO at least have a more than decent case to claim this.

Ah. The real truth is God prefers Catholics better. 👍 That is why He visits us in person every Sunday and sleeps in our Tabernacle. He prefers the company of Catholics.

The personal relationship I have with Jesus in the Catholic Church cannot be comprehended by Protestants (and yes, Baptists are protestants)

The real presence for sure!

Stained glass windows & beautiful statues to remind of the faithful who’ve gone befroe us.

I am a PK too, My father is a Permanant Deacon ( maybe that makes me a PDK.😃 ) I love to hear what converts have to say, it freshens my look at the Church. I love all of the things that everyone has mentioned here, I don’t think I could narrow it down to 10.

Thank You all for posting your top 10. It is refreshing for this cradle Catholic. When I was in my younger years and began to question, it was people such as Scott Hahn, and other converts who made me realize that nothing could be truer than Catholicism. I am thankful to have been brought up in the truth.
 
Hey, Thanksgiving in coming up! Here’s my list in no particular order.

I’m thankful for these things in the Church:

1 - a personal relationship with Jesus Christ (aka Eucharist among other things!)
2 - Adoration, Adoration, Adoration
3 - Confession
4 - priests who take the time when they don’t have it
5 - a beautiful musical legacy
6 - The Rosary
7 - Our Lady
8 - the Communion of Saints
9 - sweet little Poor Clares sisters
10 - padded kneelers
