I was in Catholic school at the age of 9yrs. old. I still remember when our class had to go to confession together one day in school. I said to the girl sitting next to me that I didn’t have any sins to confess. She whispered to me to make up one so I would have something to confess so I did.
At the early age of 11yrs.old… what mortal sins can a child possibley have? I personally remember being a good kid when I was a child. But as an adult I feel I have some sins to confess.
As a child and teenager I remember confessing small sins and always crying to God and saying how sorry I was for my sins as I would walk home from church. But it wasn’t until years later that my behavior of confessing my small sins paid off because I learned that God was listening to my confessions and prayers all those years. One day I heard God’s voice say to me that he has always been with me and always will. That truly made happy and I realized that eventhough I was praying to God and talking to him he WAS listening to me. It feels good to know that God has always been with me and always will.
