The beast will behead people also, seems a little familiar.

Martyrs don’t blow themselves up or fly planes into buildings.

Why do they hate more than they love their own children?

This child was a true Martyr who will be spending eternity with his savior.

You probably live in an area where the few knowledgeable Muslims around you don’t have the ability to follow through on the true teachings of Islam, and the remaining Muslims are just ignorant of their religion from being in a non-muslim area. That’s the case here where I am. Go to an area that’s majority Muslim and see if you can tell us the same thing…

The more involved and dedicated to Christianity you get the more loving and peaceful and godly you become.

Why is this not the case for Muslims?

The Quran is full of hatred to Jews and Christians. Many Muslims “absorb” this hatred day after day and thus they act their hatred out. There are Muslims who do hate but do not act it out, and there are Muslims who don’t hate. Our family’s best friend is a Muslim…He gave us a beautiful shwarowski (sp?) Cross as a present for example because he believes that if God wanted one religion, then we’d have one religion… And since there is no authority in Islam, then Muslims are affected by what some sheikh teach…if the sheikh happens to preach hatred on friday, then one will expect hatred. For example, one sheikh in sudan issued a fatwa allowing Muslim girls to marry Christian men and many Muslim girls did marry Christian men because of this fatwa which enraged other sheikhs and Muslims and which was accepted by other Muslims…this is the problem…no authority.

If someone was beheaded in the U.S. because he was a Muslim, the whole society would be outraged. It would be on tv night after night, and NO ONE would support the perpetrator. The FBI would hunt the perpetrators to the ends of the earth, and law enforcement would expend whatever resources it took not only to bring the perpetrator to justice, but to stamp out every root and branch of any organization behind it.

But in Islam, we see none of that when someone of another religion is murdered, and never do. I don’t see how the existence of some radical sects adequately explains the utter indifference Islamic societies with which they regard such atrocieites. It’s a much deeper thing than just the fact that there are some Wahabists around. If the U.S. soldiers weren’t in the way, Iranian and Iraqi Shiites would kill every last Sunni in the country. If the Sunnis could manage it, they would murder every Shiite. Islam is just plain ok with killing rival religious groups, and it’s a terrible indictment of Islam that it’s true.

Where is the outrage from the “vast majority” of Muslims who oppose this sort of thing? Where are the privately funded armies of commandos trained to stamp this out? Is there not enough money in Saudi Arabia for someone who is truly outraged to spend a little, to form a coalition of outraged muslim moderates who dedicate themselves to the task of not only rehabilitating the image of Islam in the wordl (which is several degrees lower than that of George Bush) but to doing so by not resting until every islamofascist psycho is swinging from a rope?

It’s nonsense.

I live in Detroit.

What I saw were the cars of Muslims festooned with flags after 9/11. Loud protestations of patriotism and so on. But in the kitchen at La Shish a fairly well known middle eastern restaurant there were jeers and cries of joy when the towers fell. Muslims in Gaza danced in the streets.

What we see is that when Muslims are a minority they play make believe, and when they are a majority they are either monsters or they just don’t care.

A 14 year old Christian boy in Iraq was decapitated by Islamic terrorists on October 21st. They asked for his ID which labeled him a Christian. They said he was a “dirty Christian sinner.” He bravely asserted his Christianity. They then beheaded him to cries of Allahu akbar. May the poor child rest in peace.

The response from the Islamic community? Nothing.

Islam has got to change and Muslims need to apologize for these kinds of atrocities.

And they have the gaul to ask the pope to apologize for a statement? This is ridiculous. Funny, if you read the Qur’an you’d see in other Surahs it tells you to treat Jews and Christians as brothers. As for Hadiths, they are situational more so applying to the current time of Mohammed life as opposed to always.

I know I will be slammed for this, but contrary to what everyone on here is saying, not every Muslim is a terrorist who wants to kill you. And no, not even a majority of them. The ones in power are like that. I remember that in another thread when I told about my friend who is a Lebanese Christian whose family has many Muslim friends over in Lebanon (in fact, almost ALL of their friends are Muslims) who are all good people. I was told that those were not “devout” Muslims, since they didn’t want to kill Christians.

Like Bill O’Reilly said, the reason that more Muslims have not spoken up (and some have, such as the big Muslim group in this country, whose name I forget at the moment) is because the terrorists are like the mafia–if you testify against the mafia, they’ll kill you and your family. The non-violent and unarmed Muslims are afraid of the terrorists too.

The plain truth is most orthodox Muslims worldwide are thouroughly disgusted by western society and our perceived lack of a moral center and obedience to God. They unlike many in the western world actually believe that God has rules that must be obeyed or we suffer the consequences in one way or another.
