When do you understand the events of Revelation 12:7-12 occured? And the “short time” (KJT) began?
Daniel 2:44 says:" … the God of heaven will set up a kingdom which shall never be destroyed; and … it shall break in pieces and consume all these kingdoms, (human governments) and it shall stand forever."
Has this happened already?

The Kingdom is both here and still to come.

Jesus as Jesus is both with us now and yet still we prepare for His second coming.

“…the time that the continual burnt offering is taken away, and the abomination that makes desolate is set up…” (Dan 12:11 RSV)

The continual burnt offering was taken away when the Romans destroyed Jerusalem around AD 70. Ask any Jew. That is what Jesus spoke of when He told His people to flee to the mountains, etc. The “desolating sacrilege” (Mt 24:15) was the Romans worshiping in the Temple. Jesus was telling his people to get the heck out of Jerusalem before the Romans sacked it.

“So, if they say to you, Lo, he is in the wilderness,' do not go out; if they say, Lo, he is in the inner rooms,’ do not believe it.” (Matt 24:26 RSV)

I may be wrong, but don’t you believe that Jesus has been in the “inner rooms” of the WTS? No, I’m not going to believe it. We will ALL know when He comes again.

These things have been with us since the birth of Christ. What changed around WWI was the media. The telegraph, then radio, then TV; we now get to hear about every earthquake, famine, war, and crime. There has been no significant increase in any of them.

Like the Jews of old who expected a political Messiah, the JWs expect a physical Kingdom of God on earth. But, as Jesus has said, the Kingdom is within you. It is the love that man has for man. When the whole world is converted to believe in, and to accept, Him as the Son of God, and God, then will all of scripture be fulfillled and the Kingdom will be manifest.

The first Bibles had no punctuation; in fact there were no spaces between words. A human editor somewhere decided to put a period between “Thy kingdom come” and “thy will be done.” I personally ignore the dot, and apply “as it is in Heaven” to both the Kingdom and God’s will.

In Heaven, the Kingdom (like everything else) is perfect. Down here, it’s still being built.

I do not speculate about dates unless there is clear evidence from outside the Word, such as there is for the fall of Jerusalem.

Who knows?

To put Dan. 2:44 in to context, one must read the whole chapter. Nebuchadnezzar had a dream; Daniel interpreted it. Several kingdoms will be broken; the first is Nebuchadnezzer’s. There is no telling what the others are. A historian could speculate, but there are so many choices that it would be meaningless. There is not even a mention of Jesus to give us a clue.

This is why I speak to them in parables, because seeing they do not see, and hearing they do not hear, nor do they understand. With them indeed is fulfilled the prophecy of Isaiah which says: `You shall indeed hear but never understand, and you shall indeed see but never perceive.’ (Matt 13:10-14, RSV)

For some reason I keep coming back to the Parable of the Sower today.
