For a while in our neighborhood in the past 3 years, people would have those signs saying something like “We thank the (local name) Police”, then, all this BLM happened starting May/June. Now, I have seen a few pro-police signs again.

To each their own.

One of those protesters was caught needing a police officer, I forget if it were an injury or what but I do remember.

Lack of police clearly leads to more problems, about the last thing needed.

I already posted this once, but @therightmelissa posted this on twitter (an African American woman btw):

(Please Note: This uploaded content is no longer available.)

While undoubtedly there are bad cops… etc.

Did you know there are over 100,000 black Police officers in the USA?? At least, I heard that.

I also saw that video where a bunch of African Americans went to help a white policeman when a ruffian was on top of him.

CBS came out with this article days ago:

Over the following three months, from May 26 to August 31, police in the U.S. killed 288 people, according to data

Useful artic,e 288 in 3 months which seems very, very high. Wow. I know, most of these killed probably were armed, those unarmed must be a very small number.

California, Florida, Texas, 3 states account for a good number of these, yes, large populations.

I’d bet the vast majority of shootings are in very large, blue cities.

Both officers expected to survive, I saw this mainstream, here is the story too:

Thank goodness… we will see in what shape they are. A very bad incident.

Massive kudos, keep up the good work. Every single cop off the streets makes the world a better place.
So if all the cops go away, who is going to arrest a dozen Kyle Rittenhouses working together and properly trained at the next Marxist race riot? Somehow I get the impression that you have not thought this through.

“Massive kudos, keep up the good work. Every single cop off the streets makes the world a better place”.

I’m going to call law enforcement when I need help. Balto, who are you gonna call when you need help, Ghostbusters? 👻

Lol they weren’t blocking anything, if anyone was blocking the parking lot entrance it was the line of cops standing there.
“Lol” is hardly the right language to use in this situation.

As to this other piece of information, where is your source? The article makes no mention of what you describe.

An officer in my town was found deceased recently from a self inflicted gunshot wound. He was the second one in the past year. I can’t imagine the stress they must all be under right now. @RhodesianSon

Praying for the healing and full recovery of these 2
officers.

Who are you? What a horrible thing to say. To wish harm on anyone let alone law enforcement officers…well in my mind makes a person no better than the thugs out there than night screaming about how they hope those officers die.

Further, that does that mean that I can down a couple of six packs, get on the interstate and drive fast to get to a different town to visit my family, and not have to worry about getting pulled over? What happens if I’m driving erratically and I’m a danger, and no one is there to pull me over?
Who is going to stop me or pull me over to keep me from killing myself or others in there are no police, or they are defunded?

Eternal Rest Grant un to the policemen oh Lord, and let your perpetual light shine upon them.

Have mercy on the executioner.

What about federal law enforcement? Should they quit, too?
How about the US military?
Do you also think Americans should not be allowed to own firearms?

That’s not a wish to harm law enforcement. It is a wish to harm people who live in high crime areas in the inner cities, many of whom are people of color.

This is a result of the brutal anti-American lie of systemic racism. When people repeat this lie over and over, when people lie about America’s police officers and departments, eventually something like this happens. And just as bad, crime rates go up. But that just helps the cause.

Some police are said to be low-paid though. I agree that one can find the highly paid, highly pensioned jobs. That sounds like what those officers in Minneapolis had.
I have both friends and relatives that are police. They make a pretty good living with great benefits, including the one that works in a relatively small town. Partly because they work tons of overtime, though, and some have ‘side hustles’ working security. I don’t know if that is true everywhere, however.
The police Unions seem to be a problem. They are the ones that may negotiate for those choke holds which some experts say aren’t needed, a whole other topic in that.

I support the police, I am wary of the Unions.
I agree with this 100%.

On the contrary, the perpetrator should have an appointment with the executioner after a fair trial. The warrior kills under orders. The policeman kills before due process can be completed. The executioner only kills those who have received due process for their crimes that place them outside the pale of civilized society.

I disagree. Individual workers have less bargaining power than employers. Why should they not be able to freely associate and form and organization to represent their interests?
