I do not share the same opinion. But i just dont understand how a man in maybe his teens or in his twenties, with no education at all living in a small town. Could have made up the Book of Mormon, considering its size and how complex it is. Its something that is hard to explain in my eyes. Also considering he had no computer or high tech machine.My personal opinion is that Joseph Smith was a con man, and a particularly brazen one, at that. He was brave enough to operate on a large stage. Fortunately, though, he was susceptible to being conned, himself, and this appears to be the case with the Kinderhook plates story. It seems that stories like this don’t have much effect on true believing Mormons. However, my guess is that most Mormons know nothing about this stuff. My fiance spent 25+ years as a Mormon and knew nothing whatever about this, or 99% of strange Mormon doctrines.
