I’m of no opinion on it really. Until I figure out what it is they actually do other than recieve gifts (and bring in the tourist money).

That said I like William better than his slightly less disciplined little brother.

It is the end of a very large cycle, for roughly half a dozen calendar systems. Within the cultures that produced those calendar systems, the end of the period is accompanied by stories of gloom and doom to all.

So i take it that when you say “joke” you mean that managers back in the sixties and seventies should have anticipated the Y2K problem?

Have all the programs that you have worked on been certified to pass the Year 2038 problems? And how about the Year 10000 issues?

It is like this: if the Father did not tell the Son, why should I think ANYONE on this planet knows?

That rules out the Myans, Mya Angeleau, Mia Peoples, and anyone else.

Jesus said no one would know the time.

Sure we will be given signs, but there will never be a specific time that we will be given.

Matt 24:36
“No one knows, however, when that day and hour will come-neither the angels in heaven nor the Son; the Father alone knows.”

I ask again, if the Son (Jesus) did not know the day nor hour, why should I accept what anyone else has to say on the matter?
 
why do most people get hung up on Matt.24:36 ? I do not think anyone is saying May 30 2012 at 9:45 am. If you read Matt: 24 , Jesus gives us the signs so we will not be caught off guard and can warn others so they have time to repent so they won’t suffer eternal tourment. what I am saying is look at the whole chapt. not just one line to make it fit an argument.

We can see the signs, but we wont be given an exact date.

My post is obviously the definition of insanity since i just repeated myself for naught.

I think there is a Catholic angle on this. The teachings of the Jesuit priest Pierre Teilhard de Chardin, whether you consider them philosophy, theology or metaphysics, postulate 2012 as the omega point when the biosphere evolves into the noosphere I believe. Something to think on! For myself, I just hold to Mark 13:33 and let God worry about the time. I pray He will come again in glory and that I might be judged worthy to serve Him!

Nothing like the Y2K at all. The Y2K actually had potential to be the end of the world; but was not due to some fantastic geeks outthere who fixed the systems 🤓

This 2012-thing is a fantasy created by people who thought the end of the world would come unless they sacrificed people to their false gods, and who believed that the stars were not just gigantic balls of gas.

I won’t lose any sleep over it anyway 😉

Like I said- it’s a movie!
And I want to see it, just to see how ridiculously this whole thing is being blown out of proportion.
