The article subject makes it sound scandalous for the Catholic Agency, but in reality, the scandal falls on lawmakers and some in society in which the Catholic Agency must operate. Please go read the article.

The compliance with the country’s laws simply does not automatically rule out a homosexual couple based on being homosexual alone.

The Catholic Adoption Agency must keep its doors open to serve the community as best as possible. We as Catholics must also work to prevent laws like this, or get them changed such that laws are based on morality and protect decency, not have laws based on protecting immoral behaviors.

Those persons that made the decision to allow their Catholic Agency to go against Catholic teaching and to place innocent children with SS persons will have to answer to God as to why they are placing Gods children in disordered homes against the Magesterium.

Yes, God will know what to do. However, please read between the lines, here. I don’t know that any homosexual couples will make it through the entire criteria, at least I hope not. They don’t want to lose their license to help people who seek to do what God desires.

The chief executive of the adoption agency did make a comment that any gay couples who were just testing out the process wouldn’t get very far. But I’m guessing that any gay couples who got turned away would be closely scrutinized by the press. I don’t think there will be much room for saying “yes” to gay adoption, but having an unofficial policy of bogging them down somewhere in the process.

I agree. That’s essentially what I was thinking as well.
