In 2 Samuel 7 God promises what exactly? Solomon’s throne that will reign forever?
Vs 12&13 in particular.

Is Jesus the fullfillment of this promise? Also Vs 16 “your throne shall be established forever”?

Do the popes tie in here somehow?
 
Jesus is the true Solomon-He is Peace & Wisdom, and He will rule forever.

Jesus is the fullfilment of the Davidic Kingdom. His kingdom shall reign forever. The Pope is his Prime Minister in the kingdom. See Is 22:15+, Mt 18:17-19.
