3 Catholic Colleges possibly coming to Phoenix?

Saw this article today on azcentral.

It states that Notre Dame College, University of the Incarnate Word, and University of St. Francis are considering the possibility of starting new campuses in the Phoenix area.

Does anybody know if these Colleges/Universities are worthy of the Catholic name?

Also, I remember previously that there was a traditional Catholic campus in the works for the Florence area, called The College of John Paul in the Desert and also the Diocese was considering bringing a Catholic institution of higher education to the valley but Bishop Olmsted wanted to make sure that it would be orthodox before moving on with the possibilities.

One thing is for sure, there is an interest here for Catholic higher education, let us pray that the schools started are faithful to the Magisterium.

…as is legal immigration and the general trend of the North and Midwestern regions of the US to move to places like Phoenix and Las Vegas. Phoenix is the second fastest growing city in the US. It began with the spread of air conditioning in the 50s and 60s, spread when developers created retirement communities such as Del Webb’s Sun City, matured with the snowbird phenomenon, and then exploded with their children and grandchildren who grew to love the area.

Isn’t the University of St. Francis in Joliet, Illinois? Isn’t Notre Dame in South Bend, Indiana? (Solid Midwestern areas) I’m guessin each of these institutions sees a market based on Midwestern transplants being familiar with these institutions. Never underestimate how many Midwestern Catholics are sick of winter!
