I suggested the same thing myself on another thread. If you came on here virulently anticatholic you’d be qucky called on it and banned, so you wouldnt achieve your mission of putting people off finding out more about the catholic church. However, if you came on here pretending to be a catholic, and then insulted and offended everyone and everything within hitting range, you’d do a mighty fine job of putting off a lot of non catholics and confirming their stereotypes of catholics.

Take a look at her threads. Everyone one of them have a downer on someone or other. No points are ever expanded and debated beyond what was cut and pasted from somewhere else or a search engine.

It was the cutting and pasting and flagrent plagiarizing of other catholics works, plus the almost total deficit of knowledge of anything to do with catholicism that first made me very suspicious.

Because this was a MASSIVE obstacle to me in even contemplating finding out more about the catholic church. I had to ask quesitons, explore, and so on … thanks to some fantastic posters here I think Ive got a balance I can now work with. The issues have not gone away for me with how the Bishops dealt with it all, and having studied some reports the church itself sponsored, it’s impossible to understand some of their actions other than in the framework of pure evil.

But it’s no longer an obstacle to me finding out more about the catholic church.

It still stomach turning to see a catholic belittle the suffering of every individual child in order to score points over ‘‘protestants’’.

Where is the charity and humanity.

I have much to resolve, but at least I’m no longher blocked by the issue in the catholic church and starting RCIA very soon.

Pure evil, pure fear, pure idiocy . . . or a combination of all three, who knows? I’m glad however that you got past that hurdle because truth does not change despite the sins of some of our shepherds. God bless.

I don’t believe that we have the right to be considering who is what or what is who in this like manner, if you have your suspicions then say it to the appropriate people otherwise it’s sounds like slander. God bless.

Nuns were specifically mentioned in the Ryan report which I linked for you to read in another thread, as conducting some of the most degrading and inhuman abuse of young girls sent to them for care. The report was commissioned by the government of the republic of Ireland and accepted by the catholic church there. It exposed some 50 years of organized, systemic institutional abuse by religious orders, including the rather ironially named Sisters of Mercy.

In your pathetic attempt to belittle the actual hard evidence of rampant abuse within the church in Ireland, the most catholic country on the planet, you called the reports as coming from the church of satan.

The Church and her Bishops accept the report admitted responsibility and have apologied to the victims.
