As a citizen of New York City this is beyond appalling to me. Why all Catholics and other pro-life people are not out in the streets every week protesting this is beyond me.
Please note the high rates about Blacks. This is not just an accident. Planned Parenthood targets the minority communities. I pray in front of an abortion clinic, and 90% or possibly more of the women going in there are Black. The fact that 60% of Blacks are being murdered in our city should cause the Rev. Sharpton to go ballistic, but of course it won’t.
There is another article about this subject which in some ways I find even more disturbing.
Archbishop Dolan is sounding like Bill Clinton here, and this upsets me greatly. Why isn’t he calling abortion what it is - murder, and even one abortion is too many.
41% of all New York City pregnancies end in abortion.
Both sides say the high abortion percentage is a crisis.
Broken down by race for 2009:
Specifically non-Hispanic Black’s have a 59.8% abortion rate.
Hispanics have a 41.3% abortion rate.
Asians have a 22.7% abortion rate.

Archbishop Timothy Dolan is calling for efforts to make abortions in New York City “rare.”
Dolan gathered with other religious leaders on Thursday to draw attention to the city’s high abortion rate. The city health department last month released statistics that showed 41 percent of pregnancies were terminated in 2009.
While the numbers have declined in the last decade, the religious leaders said they are still too high.
Dolan said the practice is unlikely to end but that it was important ‘to tell people what is happening.”
