He could have someone else “take them down” just as quick.

He has also claimed this “nobel prize” (erroneously) at conferences.

Mann even put this on a court document, causing it to be rejected until he corrected it.

Why not just say the obvious?

Why not just say this was a lie?

Why not just stick to YOUR own principles and say “look no further than Michael Mann”?

I don’t think you quite understand what the 12-year deadline means. It does not mean the end is coming in 12 years. It simply means that if carbon emissions remain on their present trajectory for another 12 years, then there will be no way to avoid a temperature rise of +2 degrees Celsius. That’s it.

(By the way, I was reminded recently of a somewhat related quote in C. S. Lewis’ Narnia stories where the King Lune says to his son who makes fun of Rabadash, an enemy, but currently hanging helplessly on hook, “Never taunt a man save when he is stronger than you: then as you please.”)

Read the correction posted at the bottom of your link. It says this:

It was incorrect to claim it had smashed into the Caribbean. In addition it was inaccurate to say “it came crashing into Earth”. We are happy to set the record straight.

So you see their never was a “collision with Earth”. It never did “smash into the Caribbean”. A rock just 3-meters long burned up immediately upon grazing the atmosphere. If you were looking for egg on the face of NASA, look elsewhere, perhaps to Express.co.uk?

I give her enough credit to assume as a Congresswoman she has consultation with experts.

I’ve seen you deride “conservatives” for their alleged consulting with Big Oil.

Big Oil is very very rich. Scientists are poor. Big Oil has the power to exert influence. Scientists don’t.

Besides. If all your political guys are in the hip pockets of big oil, then WHY believe them?

If all your political guys are NOT in the hip pockets of Big Oil, it proves your “money-can-buy-influence-here” claim as at least partially false.

Even failing Solyndra made off with a bucket-load of tax payer money before they went belly-up.

They had to have some serious lobbying influence to pull that debacle off.

After all THEY are the ones who want to invent a whole new massive Government juggernaut based upon this BEING a climate emergency (the very topic of this thread).

These wrong global warming predictions and the points these scientists and their Ambassadors (some of which are scientists themselves) bring up points that need to be addressed.

This is proverbially MY hard-earned money you are talking about FORCING out of me at Government gun-point if I refuse to go along.

Whereas with you guys, you can all just send the IPCC checks without me. They won’t need to invent more Government layers of bureaucracies for global warming tax collection.

You sending YOUR MONEY electively will bypass all that red-tape.

They will probably make out ahead financially if enough of you guys just do it. Just send YOUR own money on your own electively.

Just think about how you can save the planet with this!

And you will have that good old warm feeling inside for all you guys have accomplished by sending YOUR money electively.
