A wonderful, positive thread. Would that every parish focuses on this. Just let me say though, be open to the fact that some of are not seeking inclusion. I have been going to the same parish since 2013. I enjoy seeing the families, their kids and the fellowship, but other than the occasional hello, I would rather be left alone.
Being Catholic means I have rich opportunities in personal and spiritual growth at my fingertips, but for me that does not include fellowship where I worship. I think efforts to reach out to the lonely church goer are a fantastic pursuit. Just be cognizant that there are more than a few of us that are A OK. Personally, the level of fellowship I get here and with my few friends are more than enough.
