fyi

I just checked the schedule. There are only two elections and two caucuses in February. March 1st is the first big test with thirteen primaries. That is the first really important “poll”. Look for that week to be the one where the field is limited. Then, as we see how they re-align, we will get an idea of front runners.

I look for the final five to be:

Trump
Fiorina
Carson
Bush
Rubio

though I bet I will not have more than three of these right, so much can happen.

Donald Trump has come under attack from all sides in a fiery debate between the top Republican presidential candidates in the 2016 election.
The party’s frontrunner, a billionaire businessman with no political experience, refused to apologise over comments about the wife of Jeb Bush.
And he was on the receiving end when Carly Fiorina drew huge applause facing up to his recent jibe over her looks.

Fionrina was phenomenal. 🙂 Carson, Rubio and Kasich were good too.

I still consider those four to be the best.

Although he wasn’t really strong in this debate, I like Ben Carson. I also like Chris Christie, but I’m prejudiced since I’ve always liked him. Also like Rubio. Right now, I see Carson or Christie getting the nomination, but a lot can change between now and then.

I thought Trump came off as one of the more reasonable candidates on foreign policy, and Rubio, Fiorina, Christie, and Cruz (who I like on many issues) sounded a bit scary.

This is reassuring. Donald Trump as the top man in the world is the most insane thing there is. Surely you wouldn’t America??

America wants to see action from the next president to begin restoring our country back to good health again - financially and spiritually. Americans, especially the middle class have been beaten down for 8 years. We have had a president doing his best to destroy our country.
If Trump proves to be the man for the job so be it. He has a year to prove himself.

Just about as insane as voting for a person who is under criminal investigation, and who has shown to have lied multiple times regarding her server, classified emails, and what actually happened in the deaths of 4 Americans in Benghazi. A person who is also an enabler of a serial sexual abuser.

Yeah, he let two protesters take the microphone away from him at his own campaign event. I don’t see him “steamrolling” anybody, in any capacity.
One thing no one can stand in their leaders is weakness. All anyone going against Bernie would have to do to win the election is put that video in a loop over and over.

There may be a lot of candidates, but I think I like the big field for this:

America got to hear several hours of good sense and leadership modeled.

There is enough mystery that many non-Republicans probably tuned in.

It doesn’t matter if its because of the TV star (Trump) or the novelty candidates: Carson - the black Republican doctor, Fiorina - the female CEO, Cruz and Rubio - the hispanic Senators, Paul - the maverick libertarian peace candidate. Or the array of Governors: Bush, Huckabee, Kasich, Walker, Christie, Jindal and Pataki; and Senators: Santorum, Graham - dealing with a wide range of issues of substance was good for America to witness.

Loved how Rubio refused to bow down to the climate change idol and came out strong for the working families and the economy. A minimum of PC and class warfare – though alternative tax programs were explored. As a FIELD, I thought the candidates mostly improved since the first debate. I hope our next President was there at Simi Valley tonight actually. Even some candidates I didn’t think much of distinguished themselves more tonight IMO.

The main thing was the TIME each candidate had to establish themselves and distinguish themselves. Trump and Fiorina SEEMED to me to get more of a time indulgence … Huckabee seemed to be ignored the most IMO. Fiorina had three great moments in: attacking Planned Parenthood’s disgusting baby parts sales; exposing Hillary Clinton’s lack of substance; and her Statue of Liberty (female non-victim) speech … that was a classic (like to hear that one again or post the video link).

Rubio has something about him. Self-assured, focused, speaks with authority and has those demographic intangibles that make me think he will be a front-runner very soon.

MANY of the field I could imagine to BE President … and better still … a good one.

It is nice to have some positive choices beyond “oh well, better than that other party’s person.” I expect more juggling in the polls between now and the Iowa caucus and New Hampshire primaries … but all in all, a quite interesting night.
Agree,week said!🙂

One sees the shape the world is in, that is what is insane. Also, electing pro-choicers of which Donald Trump is far from perfect on as an issue.

Trump came out against the Iraq war early back in 2003, he’d certainly have that advantage over Hillary.

Only if one thinks the Iraq warv was a mistake. It was an unqualified success- until Obama snatched defeat from the jaws of victory . And guess who was Secretary of State when Obama was giving away the fruits of a hard-earned victory?

I’m also Not too sure how much Trump wants to dwell on his beliefs r 13 years ago . 1’3 years ago he was pro Hillary, Pro single-payer healthcare, pro-abortion and was giving money to the campaigns of every Democratic he could find

Since 1989, Trump has given $350,000 more dollars to Republicans running for Federal and State Offices. politifact.com/punditfact/statements/2015/jul/09/ben-ferguson/donald-trumps-campaign-contributions-democrats-and/

I voted for Mitt Romney but even Romney somewhat had to work with abortion matters when he was governor of Massachusetts in the early 2000s. Trump never legislated or signed one thing.

Bush!

Sorry, just wanted to get that out of the way. 😉
