80s and 90s "Hair" Bands

I know we’re talking 80s and 90s here, but probably my all-time favorite band was Kiss. When I was just a lad, I’d call my dad at work and have him stop at the costume shop in town (before the mall came and wiped away downtown) to get makeup so I could play Kiss with my friends.

They were still fairly relevant in the 80s and 90s even without the makeup.

It is funny that you mention that, I used to get the magazines ‘Circus’ and 'Metal Edge" and my wall would be covered with pics from that. I had an entire wall dedicated to Skid Row. I covered every inch of wallpaper. Ah the great memories. It is so nice to relive these days.

Here’s one you may never have heard of, but they ROCK! They kind of hit at the end of the scene, just as Alice In Chains, Pearl Jam, and Nirvana were making Hair Bands obsolete.

Tyketto - Their first album “Don’t Come Easy” is fantastic.

I used to like Warrant back in the day, but all of their stuff grates on my every nerve anymore.

I was doing pretty well on those quizzes. Hitting about 90% on them for awhile, until one of them got REALLY obscure, like you’d only know if you were a big fan of the LA Club scene.

Circus was my favorite magazine. I never subscribed, but I bought lots of copies. I can’t remember if Metal Edge was the other one I liked or not.

Me too! I’m glad though, that I did not get the tattoo I wanted when I was 18. It would have been this.http://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/en/6/60/GunsnRosesAppetiteforDestructionalbumcover.jpgThe album came out when I was 18 (legal age for tattoos), but I had no money. By the time I had money, I no longer wanted any Guns N’ Roses tattoos. 😃

Circus and Metal Edge 👍 Spent alot of allowance money on those. Hit Parader too. I still have some in a box -although some pages are missing.😉
