85 year old MIL had hip surgery and now hospitalized with complications

look kindly upon us, and increase your mercy in us,

Almighty and Eternal God, You are the everlasting health of those who believe in You. Hear us for Your sick servant for whom we implore the aid of Your tender mercy, that being restored to bodily health, she may give thanks to You in Your Church. Through Christ our Lord.

Update … she has also come down with a hematoma on the side where she had the surgery for her hip … they are operating again today.

Thank you for your prayers … the latest surgery went well … she is still in the hospital and they have now ruled out sepsis after giving her a lot of antibiotics. She is still having problems with being able to go to the bathroom, she’s in tremendous pain from the two surgeries and is quite depressed over the situation.

Thank you to everyone that prayed for my MIL … she is going home from the hospital today … she has a long road ahead of her of physical therapy to fully recover … but the complications of the surgery were all resolved … one of the final things they found was that her hemoglobin was very low and they needed to give her two units of blood … she finally felt strong enough to walk a little bit. They are keeping a monitor on her to make sure the hematoma does not come back. She is living with my sister-in-law and her husband so she will be in good hands.
