If I may ask, where do you live? There are several parishes coming into the Ordinariate in different states. You mentioned that there is one 3 hours from your home. This is very early to know how many more parishes will join. There are small groups of Anglicans now coming together and if they are large enough will probably petition to be part of the Ordinariate. If you know of Anglicans who are interested and can get a group together close to where you live, then there is a good possibility of forming a potential parish/ mission.I am patiently waiting for an Anglican Use parish to come to my area. I have attended mass at a Anglican Catholic Church (high church very conservative) and I really liked it.
We in California seem to be having more of a problem gathering groups. However I believe that unless an Anglican/TEC member has been informed of the Ordinariate, most have been kept in the dark by their priests. It is not widely published in California. Hopefully once the Ordinariate is established there will be some type of advertisement put out in the major paper and some local papers to inform others of this offer from Rome.
God Bless
