I do not know if you have heard this prayer or understood it at all, thats why you feel that only married to my mother would make God the father of all mankind, now thinking of that what would that make my mother?
I didn’t say you believe god married your mother. I explained what true meaning parameters for god you call “father” if you don’t he is husbend of our mothers, we have it with another names.
Mathew Chapter 6
9"This, then, is how you should pray:
" 'Our Father in heaven,
hallowed be your name,
10your kingdom come,
your will be done
on earth as it is in heaven.
We don’t need call God like your Bible We don’t bilieve all quotes of your Bible are true. God is not our father in heaven. God is our Creator and he created our father too. And he is not in only in heaven, he is in every place. God is unlimited.
See, its OUR, not mine, but OUR, ie the UNIVERSAL, including every person, who will accept Him in that respect. We are all His children, but maybe muslims dont feel so, thats why they have that strange relationship, of revange when something goes wrong somewhere, instead of letting Him be the action taker.
It is your relegions believe and we don’t need believe in that to have a true belief. God is not our father and we are not his children. He is our Creator and we love him more than our parents. And he loves us and all the world. His love to us, is more than our parents love to us.

As I said you must think What you mean when you say “He is our father”
Makes me feel that Muslim allah is not the same God we believe in.
Absolutly God in Islam is not same God in christianity. Why you feel it when you talk about fatherhood. You must feel it when you talk about trinity. In our believe you have not a true understand about God.

I am curious; do you Messianic Jews ever call Christ something like Adonai Yeshua Ben-Yahweh when they want to use a little "formality?’

I don’t agree with that Explanation. We, Eastern Christians who speak arabic, use the word “Allah” to say God. In the old and new Testaments arabic version, God is written “Allah”. Allah is an arabic word means God. The syllables you gave to explain that Allah means la ilah ella Allah **لا إله إلا الله **is not a true translation.

Martha Karim , Catholic Maronite from Lebanon
Allah= al + elah

elah means God so:

Allah=al-God

And “al” here as we explained means “only” So:

Allah= only God

It is not important you use word for say what, We must subtilize real meaning of the word.

If you are Arab, I have learned Arabic and have many Arab friends.

Allah is not God nor is he the heavenly father, those names are reserved for Eloyhim.

Allah is NOT the father of Abraham nor is he a 1/3rd of the triune God.

If you know not the son you know NOT the Father.

Jesus the Christ is the way truth and life.
If Allah is not God, Why Arabic translations of Bible use “Allah” to show God.

There are no heavenly father and trinity is a big mistake. You are not in the way of Jesus christ.

Muslims do not adore the one true merciful God because they serve a false god. They deny the Trinity and the deity of Christ. Quite simply, they deny the true God and are not capable of adoring the true God as long as they hold to the false teachings of Islam.
Muslims’ God is not merciful?!!!

Our God never ordered to kill women and childeren and animals, but your heavenly father says:

2 This is what the LORD Almighty says: ‘I will punish the Amalekites for what they did to Israel when they waylaid them as they came up from Egypt. 3 Now go, attack the Amalekites and totally destroy everything that belongs to them. Do not spare them; put to death men and women, children and infants, cattle and sheep, camels and donkeys.’ "
1samuel15

Why children and animals must put to death? What was these non-sin ones sin?

Yes, We deny trinity because it is blaspheme.

We never deny true God, you are ones who deny him.

:blessyou: I too am a member of a religious Order which came out of the Middle East under bloody, murderous purge of the Muslims. I myself am a Carmelite. Third Order. But I do thank for a greater understand of their beliefs:signofcross:
Stop saying such lies about muslims. If you are a ex-muslim, there are many ex-christians and ex-catholics who are muslims today.

Muslims have given 99 names for Allah, and they are quite nice, but one of the most important one is not given which we Christians address God.

Father, Our Loving Heavenly Father

Any reason for not addressing Allah as Father? Is Allah so distant to Muslims?
Shaykh Abu Adam says:
Note that the aayah in question offers several arguments against those who claim that Allaah has a child:
بَدِيعُ السَّمَاوَاتِ وَالْأَرْضِ أَنَّى يَكُونُ لَهُ وَلَدٌ وَلَمْ تَكُنْ لَهُ صَاحِبَةٌ وَخَلَقَ كُلَّ شَيْءٍ وَهُوَ بِكُلِّ شَيْءٍ عَلِيمٌ
Meaning: “Allah is the one that created the skies and the Earth without a precedent. How could it be that He has a child when He has no female partner??? He created everything, and He knows everything.” (Al-’An`aam, 101)
First, regarding the first part of the aayah, which means, “Allah is the one that created the skies and the Earth without a precedent.” Note that Allah affirms the Christians’ claim that Jesus was created without a father or semen. Rather he became existent without a father. So the first part of the aayah tells them, if you mean by Allah being a father that He brought Jesus into existence without precedence, i.e. innovated him without sperm or a father, that is, without the normal cause, then the same is true for the skies and the Earth, and since you do not say that the skies and the Earth are His children, then you should not say that Jesus is His child.
This statement also contains the argument that a child is like its parent, and Allaah is the one that created the skies and the Earth without a precedent, so how can anything or anyone be like Him?
The second part of the aayah, “How could it be that He has a child when He has no female partner???” is an argument against those of them who might argue that Allah had a child in the customary manner, and it was discussed above.
The third statement, **“He created everything,” **argues with those who say that He had a child in the customary manner, through having a bodypart (such as semen) transferred to a female parter, or having a part becoming a separate entity (asexuality). It tells them that Allaah has the power to create anything, so if He wills for something to exist, He will create it, and it is only for those that do not have this power to work on customary causes if they want something to be. This also contains a refutation of the idea that a child was adopted by Him, because adoption is another customary legal cause.
This statement also has the meaning that since Allah is the only creator, and everything else is His creation, Jesus is merely a creation.
Moreover, since Allah is the creator, and does not have a beginning, then He does not resemble what has a beginning, such as Jesus. Accordingly, how could it be true that Jesus is His son, when Jesus is a human being, with created attributes. After all, offspring are of the same kind as their parent(s). This again contains another refutation of the idea that a child was adopted by Him, because adoption is between things of similar kind.
Moreover, since Allah is the creator, and the Creator cannot be like creation (since He is not created) then He is not a body. Accordingly, He does not have a child because having a child in the customary manner only happens to bodies.
The fourth statement, **“He knows everything,” **emphasizes the argument contained in **“He created everything,” **namely that Allah has no like.
Through these arguments, all the normal meanings of having a “child” have been refuted. There are even more arguments contained in these few statements, but this should suffice to show that the Qur’aan did not present a weak argument.
Some might still argue that the word “child” is a metaphor meaning a loving relationship. The reason why Islam does not accept the word child as a metaphor with this meaning is that the word “child” contradicts the concept of ownership; it would be absurd to say that someone “owns” his “son”. Something is not said to be someone’s child and personal property at the same time. In other words, to say that Allaah has a son is to imply a flaw in His absolute ownership. Allaah said in the Qur’aan:
“وَقَالُوا اتَّخَذَ اللَّهُ وَلَدًا سُبْحَانَهُ بَلْ لَهُ مَا فِي السَّمَاوَاتِ وَالأَرْضِ”
Meaning: **“They said: “Allaah has taken a son.” **This saying is a lie, Allah is greatly clear of such non-befitting attributes! Rather, He is the absolute owner of all that is in the skies and on Earth!” (Al-Baqarah, 116) This statement tells us that having a child does not befit Allaah, because He is the absolute owner of everything, and because all things in the skies and Earth are created kind, and Allaah does not resemble it. Since He does not resemble any of it, none of it is His child, because a parent-child relationships are only for similar things.
The concept of having a son then, is incompatible with the concept of believing in one Creator that has absolute ownership of His creation. Moreover, the word “son” implies similarity in kind, which is another reason why it is blasphemy to say that Allaah has a son, even as a figure of speech.

[5.12] And certainly Allah made a covenant with the children of Israel, and We raised up among them twelve chieftains; and Allah said: Surely I am with you; if you keep up prayer and pay the poor-rate and believe in My apostles and asslst them and offer to Allah a goodly gift, I will most certainly cover your evil deeds, and I will most certainly cause you to enter into gardens beneath which rivers flow, but whoever disbelieves from among you after that, he indeed shall lose the right way.
From this aayah you deduce the opinion from post #4:
Allah claims he gives what was Israel’s to Muslim.
If you look at the explanation of this particular aayah from Imam Ibn Kathir’s tafsir(explanation) you will see that that this aayah has nothing to do with the point you are trying to prove; even the apparent wording doesn’t show this. As a reference, look up tafsir ibn kathir, check the verse and read its explanation.

I smiled because Friendship made me smile. 🙂
You have mentioned in yur response that your allah and Our God is not the same, so I accept that explaination, but the one you have given above, saying that Our God did the above, ( now from the corrupted Bible) where as there is in Quran the story of Noah, where the floods destroyed the mankind, along with all animals and etc. Now if you say that is not correct than I have to assume that your books is a corrupted book too. 🙂

Arabic Christians should not use that name allah, the translation will confound the true God with the god of Islam.

12When Jesus spoke again to the people, he said, **“I am the light of the world. Whoever follows me will never walk in darkness, but will have the light of life.” **

Oh really? And what do you suggest they use instead? “Allah” is the word for “God” in Arabic. It is Islam that makes unique claims about it that are wrong - the word itself is essentially neutral (tainted by the violence associated with it through the actions of terrorists, certainly, but that makes the terrorists wrong). Arabic-speaking Christians and Jews use it, as they did long before Islam ever existed. Why should they concede it to a bunch of nutcases? It is their inheritance even if the majority of Arabs are following the wrong religion.

The religion of Islam is satanic in origin and is utterly incompatible with the gospel of Jesus Christ.

20 But I say, that the things which the Gentiles sacrifice, they sacrifice to devils, and not to God: and I would not that ye should have fellowship with devils

You know, Fathers are the protectors of their children. and that is God our Father. Its sad that muslims dont consider Him as Father, and I pity their thinking. Maybe thats the reason they try to protect the name of their Allah, when situation arises? So basically its the Muslims who are the defenders of their Allah. A reverse role compared to the Christians.

You could use, He is El Elyon, El Shaddai, El Mekaddishkem, El Zidkenu–the God who is righteousness…You can use any biblical terms you want, but it is his triunity; it is his covenant name as the God of Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob; it is his name, saving name, as the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, which connects him with Christ–any biblical names, because just calling him God may not convey to them that the God you’re talking about is distinct. So whatever it takes to modify the term to explain that it’s not Allah, as you know him, is important.

So…they could become Hebrew speakers? I don’t think you’re looking at this from a very sensible perspective. Arabic-speaking Christians affirm the true triune nature of God (they are Christians, after all). They don’t need to change their language to do that.

“God” is the correct translation for “Allah”.

We use the word “Allah” who knows how many times during the Divine Liturgy, including the Trisagion (which, by the way, is my signature … so there is the word “Allah” again!). This is our language. Christians are fighting to hold onto this word in other parts of the world, and you want to take our own language – the language used by Melkites in the liturgy every day – away from us???

“Allah” comes from the same Semitic root that Jesus would have used when said he the word God in Aramaic.

Finally, it is the long held position of Christianity that Christians and Muslims (and Jews) worship the same God: the one Infinite source of all that is, and the one who is beyond all that is. One can see this in Thomas Aquinas, and is simply repeated in the most recent documents of the Catholic Church. That Muslims do not acknowledge that God is Trinity does not mean they worship a different God, it simply means, that from the standpoint of Christianity, their understanding is woefully deficient.

You may not be Catholic, and that is fine, but the position you are arguing is well outside the historical tradition of Christianity.

salaam.

But you made me laughing 😃

Quran is not a copy from your Bible to I need defence Bible. Quran is God’s words to prophet Muhammad. Quran never says that God wanted to destroy humanity! What you call God is not Exist. Real God never is such what Bible shows as God. God is What Quran and real Turah talk about.

God doesn’t need be our father to protect us. We get our being from God and he protects us. We call him “Hafiz”

What are you saying for yourself?!

Allah means “Only God” You don’t believe in Only God?
