:rolleyes:I feel that the most harmful part of the resolution is the reference to this “City’s existing and established customs and traditions, such as the right of same-sex couples to adopt and care for children in need…”. This so-called established custom probably has not been in existence for more than one or two decades. Since the Board of Supervisor’s position is based on immorality, it follows that they have to use a Big Fat Lie to support it. What term was used for this in the novel “1984” ? Basically, the concept is, if you lie often enough and loudly enough, the lie eventually begins to sound like truth.

In contrast, the good Cardinal is expressing a moral code that has existed for several millenia. And there are many scientific studies which associate homosexuality with other mental and emotional disorders. The Cardinal’s statement that adoption into a homosexual situation puts a child in harm’s way, is supported by science and is not ignorant, insensitive, hateful or callous.

It’s scary to see this public brain-washing continue, but I console myself that there have always been stupid, selfish people fighting for the right to commit their favorite sins. :

I grew up with the image of San Francisco being know for its greatness; its pioneering spirit, the Golden Gate bridge, beautiful coasts and even(back then) the 49er’s.

Now when I think of San Fran all I can think of is the city of perverts. Way to go, city council, for standing for this new tradition and codifying perversion into your law. If that city lasts for much longer like it is, then God owes Sodom and Gomorrah and apology.
