Of course a humanist can do good things, and even help out with charities.

Not believing in God doesn’t cause one to lose their conscious.

However it is God who informs our conscious, and let sit grow. Humanist can do good, because God reveals to themselves goodness all around, the primary way he does this is through Christianity.
