Father Nadheer Dako’s flock in Baghdad is shrinking, some having long fled the turmoil and others falling victim to a recent rise in anti-Christian violence. On the last day of 2010, he buries an elderly couple killed in a bombing.

Iraq, a state made of at least thee nations. the violence comes from this. You expect Sunnis, Shiites and Kurds to share a state peacefully?

the Christian minority is caught in the middle of it because, well. the muslims sometimes work together to persecute the Christians. THe Christians have held on because they were there first and continue to survive.

Will peace ever come to the middle east?

The Christians in the Middle East are facing terrible persecution under mujahideens, especially in Iraq, home to one of the most ancient Christian groups in the world(who still speak Aramaic). I pray that the mind of these ignorant terrorists be opened, and they may come to realize the truth that the Catholic Church proclaims.
