'Sorry about the whole kuffar kelb thing everyone. One of my pets just died and I am having a hard time. I will try to answer questions now though.
I am sorry to hear about that. I have a few pets myself and I understand how difficult it is. I’ll pray that you be at peace. Perhaps if you are able, you could answer some of the previously asked questions, such as what happened to Jesus and who was crucified?

Prayers and petitions,

aww sorry Im gonna blame this headache Ive had all evening 😃

I guess the questions in particular was how did Christians here see God the Father His nature and the other was your question.

ok see if Im following you right on the rest you said. You mentioned God (merciful) Im with you there, any other thoughts on His nature or dare I say personality? cant think of how to state that.

Angels, doing Gods will, I follow that.

Little confused on Jinn but, before thats addressed too much, Im more curious about how you interchange the word Allah and God. Is Allah separate from God? Or another name for God?

I just found your wording interesting you said

With God we need no intermediary between us and Him, and we pray to Allah alone for we do not associate with God.

Why would you pray to Allah alone and not associate with God??

Wheras I would also say I cannot associate with God as He is too Holy for the likes of me, but I can associate with Christ. So I would pray to Jesus who then speaks to God. And you would pray to Allah who then speaks to God.

Am I confused? 🙂 what do I have right or wrong.?
Allah is just an arabic word for The God. It is not male or female and cannot be made plural so it is seen as the most appropriate name for God. And I meant to say we do not associate others with Allah. So no Jesus or anyone else. We only pray to God because he is the only one who deserves praise. Did I get everything? I think I did.

In the Quran it says since Jesus was such a good man and Al Mesih(The Messiah) Allah did not let him die. Instead he raised Isa(Jesus) up to Paradise and someone who looked like Jesus died on the cross. As to who that was I do not believe it specifies.

second, it is easy to tell the scriptures were changed. Look at them through history. Everyone is different. They were changed by accident and on purpose.
Not true. The books of the Canon have not changed in any way that is not similar to the Quran, in its ancient Arabic (which most Arabs don’t know like modern Arabic) being translated into English or French.

There are 6000 original texts and copies of New Testament texts that are in agreement with the modern texts. These texts were written down by those testifying as witnesses to the crucifixion and resurrection of Jesus. Also the Dead Sea Scrolls found buried for almost 2000? years (exact number alludes me for the moment) are in textual agreement with the oldest of the remaining Hebrew texts i.e. Isaiah. Also re Jesus there are commentaries outside the Christian texts - Tacitus, Josephus and the Talmud for example. You only have the Quran, nothing else, and the original is in heaven apparently. The Apostles were martyred for their faith - do you think they would have allowed themselves to be martyred for what they knew to be a lie?

Not all the texts are the same. Many are different in many aspects. I mean in the hebrew bible there is never the name “Lucifer”. Translations got things changed by accident and some people changed them on purpose to fulfill there own needs. And the NT was written 250 after Jesus. So anyone who knew him was dead along with their children and children. And the NT contradicts itself multiple times and are all from people other than Jesus. We believe in the Gospel according to Jesus not Tomas Paul or anyone else. And there is only one Quran. Translations are considered nothing else but that, and the only way to truly understand it is to read it in Arabic.

Oh and Nicro, sorry about the pet. What was it? What kind of pet?
I have three collie dogs and a cat.

Out of interest what school of Islam do you follow? Is that a correct question?

Thanks, it was a cat I have had since I was in elementary school. And I am a Sunni Muslim who has some contact with Sufism.

How many texts have you read. Where do you do your scholarship? The New Testament texts were written down earlier than the compilation of the Quran. The book of Thessalonians was written within 30 years. The Gospels late part of the first century. That is consistent historical criticism not a matter of faith.

For Muslims it is really how they have changed over time and can be contradictory. The Quran has no such errors and has talked about things scientist are now just discovering.

thanks for the info. Which classical scholars do you follow at your mosque? Is that a correct question? I have no intention to be hard or nosy or offensive at all?

Can you comment then, that some ideologically radical Islamists consider Sufism to be outside the realms of good Islam? Wahabism for example?

Also I am going to have to go and do things reight now, but I will check in tomorrow. Please keep posting.
Have a great day.

One quick last thing. Have you really really checked this out for yourself? Or are you repeating in faith what you believe in faith because you have been told it?

We do not necessarily follow any specific scholars. It is more about our sheik and imam leading us in prayer and there talks. And even people who aren’t considered “radical” consider Sufism outside of Islam. This is because many Sufi’s go against basic teachings of Islam. Some do some dont. That is why I said some contact I do not consider myself Sufi but do meditate and use some other things ect…

:rotfl:
I’m sorry, that last part I cannot possibly take seriously.

The Quran says the Earth rotates, that the universe is expanding, the moon only reflects light and says the Earth is round.

And the greek philosopher Democritus proposed the first atomic theory, two thousand years before anyone else considered the idea.

My point is, that is totally irrelevant. IF you can prove to me that this wasn’t already a widely-held belief in that area, and that these passages aren’t by some really stetched interpretation, then maybe I might consider it.

None of those things were known at the time. Not to mention Muhammad was illiterate and pretty uneducated. It clearly says the mountains move even though humans cant tell, that the universe is always expanding, that the moon is only a reflection of the suns light and that the day rolls into night and the word used for roll is the same for wrapping a turban and implies the earth is spherical and this is the cause of day and night.

The Psalms have mountains dancing and skipping.

It doesnt say it in the same sense, it says(translated meaning)“88- When you look at the mountains, you think that they are standing still. But they are moving like clouds. Such is the artistry of God, who disposes of all things in perfect order. He is indeed fully aware of what you do.”
27-The Ant, 88
I got to go now will chick in tomorrow probably.

Valke, on this note its my understanding (I may explain this poorly sorry if I do) but when a Priest had one sit outside of the camp for 7 days it was ceramonial but it was also practical. Then the priest would check out the person again and see if they could come back. I understand that infections and sickness takes around 7 days.

Also the cleaning of everything while cermonial was also practical. To prevent germs, which were not discovered until recentely when one looks at how long weve been here.

So something else of science written down. If this isnt correct please let me know.

🙂

Pretty good, just a clarification; 🙂

So Allah is God as Ar Rahma Nir Rahim (The Benificient, The Merciful) is this correct?

Now, you said earlier
With God we need no intermediary between us and Him, and we pray to Allah alone for we do not associate with God
How can you pray to Allah alone because you do not associate with God, if they are the same?

Or was this maybe a typing mistake thats confused me??🤷

Also, if you believe you are born pure then I take it you dont believe Adam and Eve existed??

just wondering . . . .
