I bought the book and started it. Not much about Trump so far. Has discussed everything from Martha Stewart to Hillary’s emails to his son’s death to what it was like working for Rudy Guiliani. Ì intend to finish it, but i get sidetracked. My main read right now is the late Michelle McNamara’s (Patton Oswalt’s late wife) book about the Golden State Killer/East Area Rapist/Original Nightstalker. I have been interested in that cold case for a while but then out of nowhere they caught a viable suspect. I didnt really think he would ever be caught, so when i found out a book was published about the case just before his capture, i ordered it on my e reader. But i actually like the Comey book, and although he likes to paint himself in the best possible light, i think he comes off as generally fair and honest. I hope to finish it, but most of the allegations he has made against Trump are already out there.

LBJ had meetings while he used the toilet. Listen to the recording of him order slacks. Trump is actually far less vulgar than LBJ and a host of other presidents.

Do they, by and large, have higher or lower moral standards than the taxpayers they serve and protect? You can’t get blood out of a turnip. I think they do very well.

I agree with the later sentence. As to the first I don’t know that they are more moral.

The President, to be blunt, would have done better to remain quiet. I’m sure he’s been told that. I don’t know why he won’t believe it, but perhaps he has never learned when it would be better to remain quiet and no one is going to change him now that he’s past 70 years old.

Maybe he would do better to remain quiet. But that isn’t his style. That isn’t how he got elected. You gotta dance with the one what brung ya.

Let’s just say that LBJ did leave a few stones of presidential vulgarity unturned.

Trump promised before being nominated that he was going to be “more presidential,” so much so that people would get bored and wonder where all his energy went. Check that off as a campaign promise broken into a thousand pieces. He didn’t last 3 days. (I’m not sure he lasted 18 hours, to be honest…)

Maybe he would do better to remain quiet. But that isn’t his style. That isn’t how he got elected. You gotta dance with the one what brung ya.

The presidency gave him far more rope than he’s ever had to hang himself with. We’ll see what happens.
One would hope there is no Congress who would remove a sitting President for anything less than what Nixon did.

I think we can all agree that Donald Trump is never going to resign. I don’t care what he did. Even if he stood in the middle of 5th Avenue and gunned someone down in broad daylight, it would astonish me if Donald Trump ever admitted wrong-doing, let alone resigned.

How is that book? Crime stories interest me yet creep me out,

I like it. It is better written than the few books about the EAR/ONS that i had seen before. I would recommend it, but only if you can handle reading about a very calculating and meticulous predator who attacked people in their homes after stalking them.

if the suspect they arrestex last week actually is the Original Night Stalker, i am so thankful the crime was finally solved!

im waiting for my copy,as it is sold out at amazon .i strongly believe that he is an indep guy like me.i echoed hillary ,that she lost partly because of mr comey’s action regarding weiner’s emails on his wife’s computer ,weeks before the election . thats how indep minded he is. like him and mueller!

I’ve heard many respectable people - on TV - call him a liar.
I mean, eyes wide, shaking their head at his audacity, liar !

I hate those type of liars.

My advice is to form opinions from primary sources.

Being on TV does not make one respectable or even more reliable (in fact, the talking heads on most cable outlets are simply entertainers being paid to get your feathers ruffled).
