Please pray for me and my Family @misstherese. Most of them are not practicing and I’m struggling with making a good confession.

Taken from this site: A Letter From Beyond | The Last Things | ANF Articles
This letter recounts the tragic story of the eternal damnation of a young woman named Ani. Both the narrative and the letter transcribed below were found among the papers of a deceased nun, who in the world was known as Claire and worked with the condemned woman. This letter was revealed to Claire in a dream shortly after Ani was killed in a car accident.

The narrative received an Imprimatur from the diocese of Treves, Germany in 1953, authorizing its publication as highly instructive. While an Imprimatur is not an affirmation of authenticity, it guarantees that the text is free from doctrinal error. The letter first appeared in a book of revelations and prophecies. Fr. Bernhardin Krempel, Doctor of Theology, published it separately and lent it more authority with his footnotes showing the letter’s absolute concordance with Catholic Doctrine. We publish these footnotes here and in the PDF.

I will @Catherine1! Pray for mine too, they definitely need it 😦

Great post.
Disturbing and fascinating.
Will definitely reread the story tomorrow.
Love - when these gems - arise forth -
Our Catholic heritage has so many curious things to consider.

Oh Lord, help me break my friend’s heart of stone, that she might not burn in the fires of hell!

Truly terrifying for someone who loves an unrepentant sinner.

Thank you for posting this.

O my Jesus, forgive our sins, save us from the fires of hell; lead all souls to heaven, especially those in most need of Thy mercy.

Thank you so much for sharing that, misstherese. It gives a truly fascinating amount of insight to our beautiful Catholic religion as well as the humanly unfathomable pains of a real and horrid hell. May our dear Lord bless you always!

Yeah, same here. Makes me wanna up my prayer game for sure!

It is remarkable that Sister Claire was actually able to read the letter in the dream; in dreams, the written word is too visually unstable to read.

Yeah…a little too remarkable if you ask me. How was she about to write several thousand words down verbatim from memory alone? Also like how she built herself up several times throughout the letter.

Much Love,

Y’alls Token Skeptic

You might wonder the same of any saint’s private revelation, how they could remember all the words our Lord says. St. Gemma frequently had dream-visions. She remembered every detail because Our Lord wanted her to. He can do that.

Saints generally don’t build themselves up to the degree this woman did in the letter. Some of the stuff she mentioned was really petty, too (Sending her shoes back because she didn’t like the heels? That was worth a mention in a letter about HELL?).

I’ve read a lot of saint’s private revelations, and let me tell you - Yes, they can recall a lot. I’ve often wondered how they can remember everything.

The shoe part was mentioned to indicate that exactly - her pettiness and carelessness about the things of God.

That doesn’t address the egotism. “Curse you for being so holy and wonderful and trying to turn me to God so many times!” Saints don’t do that.

If she’s trying to give us guidelines on how to avoid Hell, she needs to do better than “don’t be particular about your shoes!” That reeks of the same unimaginative nonsense that the Medjugorje “visionaries” keep trying to sell.

She is writing exactly what was told to her. If God told her to write it, she did it out of obedience.

And she didn’t say that.

Look, believe what you want. No one is forcing you to believe it.

  1. You don’t know that God told her that, and 2. Yeah, she basically did say that. What was the point of giving her all that info, since she was apparently doing such a good job at avoiding Hell already and didn’t seem to be sharing it with anyone?

Was this the dream of Katherine Emrich ?

Her dreams were recorded by a priests who sat at her bedside and wrote what she said.

It’s in the book. “The Dolorous Passion of Our Lord Jesus Christ.” It’s what the book Mel Gibson based the movie, The Passion, on. The movie is spot in to the book, but did leave out some things, which I won’t get into now.

There is some issues with Katherine Emrich, especially some of her anti-semitic writings.

Also, as mentioned, it’s private revelation and should be taken with a grain of salt.

I never said God told her that. I said if she wrote it, she wrote it out of obedience.

All of us need a reminder every once in awhile. She most likely never told anyone while living because she didn’t want the temptation of pride, as other saints have done as well. They didn’t want others to know of their visions and holiness because they would get too much attention, so they’d make sure if it be told, it was after their death. There is a specific saint where this happened, but I can’t remember who.

She also wrote it down, probably for the intention for it to be told, not just for herself. It worked, I mean you read it, right?
