This is something that I saw so strongly and I got so many subsequent revelations from it, I wish to share it here, not to tear down, but to build up faith and to express the reality of the Lord’s Presence in the Sacrament of the Lord’s Supper.

I had just ingested the Blood of Our Lord, shed for me, when I closed my eyes and felt a thrill of fear. I saw a great throne, which a skeleton sat upon. As I looked on Death, flesh and clothing was put on the Skeleton, a great King sat on the throne, with a Crown and Scepter. As I continued to look, a great White Light engulfed the figure, the throne and my field of vision. I knew then that death was swallowed up by Life and that Jesus Christ is the Light of the world that conquers even death. His Presence is indeed everywhere. Fear was long forgotten, with wonder taking its place.

I contemplated these things and recalled that the Church is the Body of Christ and we are incorporated into that Body by means of our Holy Baptism. We are forgiven at every Absolution and brought once again into fellowship with Our Lord and one another. As we are accepted by Christ into His Body at our Baptism, so we take His Body and Blood into ourselves by means of Holy Communion.

Holy Mother Church is our mother because she nourishes and feeds our faith by means of Word and Sacraments and apart from the Church Catholic, our faith withers. I don’t know what President Harrison of the Lutheran Church- Missouri Synod would say about this, but it was just an experience I felt so strongly needed to be shared, I had to do it. I don’t think I’ve ever had an experience quite this intense and I’m not sure I ever will again, but last Sunday was a Sunday when I truly felt in communion with all God’s people on earth and the Heavenly Host above. I suppose I type this so I don’t forget it. The Peace of Christ be with you all.

Hi. Latecomer here.

Not what I thought this thread was going to be about – that’s not a veiled complaint, I had just read the title as less of a literal vision. But good post and thread. 🙂
