I guess it depends by what you mean as boundaries or limits:
If you mean can God’s mercy ever run out? No that is impossible…
If you mean everyone receives the same amount of mercy from God, then no.

From a human standpoint or vantage we can have no conception of the boundaries of God’s Mercy and Compassion. He is the Merciful and Compassionate…

Yeah, God is merciful to everyone insofar as everyone deserves punishment for their sins, but He chooses to give us opportunities to seek Him. That’s a general kind of mercy that everyone reicieves [from God]. If we all got what we deserved, we’d be toast. “If Allah were to punish men for their wrong-doing, He would not leave, on the (earth), a single living creature…” (Qur’an 16:61)
Everyone recieves that kind of mercy, but there’s another kind of mercy that only muslims get; that is the forgiveness of sins and nearness to God. At that point, He interacts with you based on the clean slate he’s given you-- not based on the sins you’ve committed in the past.

I don’t think I understand the questions you posed. Obviously, I believe that God judges someone according to His law and the primary source for that is the Qur’an. We have oral traditions as well, known as Hadith, but hadiths are not on the same level as the Qur’an because the Qur’an is revelation-- hadiths were compiled by fallible men. Sunni and Shi’a Hadith are different, but they both believe in the clarity and sufficiency of the Qur’an.For the sake of discussion

The standard is the same for you and I, because Shariah doesn’t change; interpretations may change, but the law itself is already established and complete.

OK, now I understand.
Yeah, I believe that God’s mercy is more prominent than his justice and that’s what it says in Hadith Qudsi (a group of Hadith that are of special importance). In Hadith #1 of Hadith Qudsi, it is said "On the authority of Abu Hurayrah (may Allah be pleased with him), who said that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said: “When Allah decreed the Creation He pledged Himself by writing in His book which is laid down with Him: ‘My mercy prevails over my wrath.’”
The “book” being mentioned is His decree. He decreed to make humans and to interact with us primarily through His mercy. His mercy extends to all things. Oh, how grateful I am that Allah’s mercy is more prominent than His wrath! Were it not for His mercy, who could ever escape Hellfire?
