Oh! you found the hadith! Thanks.Don’t leave this scene on the cutting room floor:
Narrated Sahl: That he was asked about the wound of the Prophet on the day (of the battle) of Uhud. He said, “The face of the Prophet as wounded and one of his front teeth as broken and the helmet over his head was smashed. Fatima washed of the blood while Ali held water. When she saw that bleeding was increasing continuously, she burnt a mat (of date-palm leaves) till it turned into ashes which she put over the wound and thus the bleeding ceased.” (Book #52, Hadith #159)~Bukhari
Could be why Mohammed doesn’t like pictures of himself.
Yeah, I thought I read somewhere where mohammed got some battle scars.
One of my favorite authors has written an article on ‘mohammeds vulgar face’. Now, this is an article going into the nature of mohammed - the ugliness. But, I think that ugliness should be shown on his face as he ages. The inside of the man coming out on his outside. Sort of a story like ‘The Picture of Dorian Grey’ story only there would be no painting - there is only mohammed to bear the ugliness that is growing inside him.
